Aldis - the advantage of the medion is that as well as a PDA, it has street level European mapping INCLUDED. And it's an awesome price at 198.99 plus 10% off code makes it a measly £179.99. now that is cheap in MHO!

Steve - I think it's more of a case that you'll have to buy the Ireland maps separately and add them on. So you'd better see who can offer the best prices for the ireland mapping.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

  • Fifth Gear on Channel 5 did a test of the Tomtom one v, the garmin i3, the becker, and the navamn 520
The Tomtom one won hands down!
    Good enough for me!

I am looking for a satnav with full Uk maps and at least major european roads.
Halfords are doing the Medion PNA 100 for just under £200. Is it worth going for it or are other systems better/ more value for money? Thanks in advance, Thomas

I have found this thread that basically says don't buy it because there's no backup.

Pocket GPS World Forums-viewtopic-Software updates for the MDPNA100, or not!
  • To be fair, if I bought this unit I would upgrade the GPS software to tom tom 5.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Mmm not that good to laugh at people who have bought there loved ones a tomtom sat nav for christmass. Well i have a tomtom one and Manchester appears to be north of england and south of scotland so no apparent problems there then. £220 out of pc world picked it up along with 2 others for christmass gifts on monday. I actually already had the latest Adli (Medion) sat nav. But i took all 3 back got my £220 back for each of them then drove up and collected my tomtom's. I have installed the latest speed cam files and celebrity voices and customised the warning sounds. An excellent peice of kit IMHO.
