when I last did SW 'properly' and lost nearly 5 stone, every 1/2 stone, I treated myself to a little something. Just something small , but a 'treat'. I've decided to do it again. When I get to my first 1/2 stone I'm going to buy some 'nice' (ie not Tesco etc own brand!) bubble bath and at my first stone, I'm going to buy a necklace from this ebay seller. There are loads I like so I'm going to see it as a mini challenge to get one within the overall 20 pounds in 10 weeks challenge I've set myself.

That is such a good idea BB. I REALLY need to get out of the mindset of seeing food as treats. I will often ring for a takeaway as a treat or go out for a meal and stuff myself silly.

If I could find something "non food" that hits the treat spot then I am sure that would be half the battle won for me. No rude suggestions from anyone either:rolleyes: :D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I was in the queue at the petrol station yesterday and saw a load of new flavoured gum like chocolate and mint, raspberry, strawberry and lime etc, all from Trident. I thought that might satisfy my need for constantly wanting to eat.

Does gum have syns?? They were advertised as sugar free.

I know on Biggest loser they suggested always having a packet of gum on hand to chew on to stop the urges to eat....

Great idea re the treats BB.

I have a necklace like the ones on that site. I LOVE mine (paid a lot more than that for it, pre LBM) and people always comment on it.

sugar free gum is half syn per 5 pieces i think

Basic/Non Branded Foods Sweets, basic, Chewing gum, sugar free 5 pellets

    red.gif Original ½ Syn green.gif Green ½ Syn

yep i was right though chewing gum actually makes me feel hungry, maybe its psychological because im not actually swallowing what im chewing, i dont know im strange

Louisej, i think of food as a treat too so i need to get out of that the same as you, it will be hard as ive done it for so long. i think i will set myself a goal of a new haircut or something, ill have a think.

still undecided as to whether to have a red or green day today. I've got some chicken defrosting so it can still go either way for dinner! So far had

    oatsosimple x 2 (HEB)
    skimmed milk (HEA)
    jam 4 tsp (2 syn)

    roast chicken
    lettuce

    prune actimel 3 (syns)

    3 chocolates - whoops!

dinner will be thin cut steak in tomatoes and spices with HEA mozzarella and stir fried spicy chicken with peppers.

I think I might try to stick to another red day even though I'm working from home. I've realised how bloated and uncomfortable green days make me feel, even though I enjoy them more.

EDIT: decision made - I'm currently munching on a chicken salad - red it is!

    good morning roomies.

well have been at work for 3 12hr shifts but have been really good.

had weetabix and semi skimmed milk each morning,
2 x nimble bread and ham (no butter) , packet crisps (walkers salt and vinegar), muller yogurt and necturine at lunch
and then some kind of pasta for tea.

saying that - have put on 1lb this week but am not too worried - stepping up training this week for the 10k run so am hoping for a super weightloss week!!!

good luck with the training - I'm in awe of anyone who runs any distance what so ever!

Another red day for me today. Felt hungry about an hour before finishing work and was glad I'd taken a mullerlight in with me. Also felt a bit hungry when I went to bed last night but I was soon snoozing.

    Today :

    oatsosimple (HEB)
    180ml skimmed milk (1/2 HEA)
    3 tsp jam (1.5 syns)

    mullerlight

    syn free burgers
    tbsp chilli relish (2 syns?)

3 Quality Street (whoops - lots of syns!)

I'm the same, chewing makes my tummy rumble - seems I'm strange too:o

Just weighed in and I've lost 4 pounds. So that's 10 pounds so far.

8 weeks to lose 10 pounds. I can do this!

Week 3 is always a big drop off for me so I need to keep focused.

And stick to as many red days as possible - looks like they are working, next week will be the big test of that for me. I love green days very much but they make me feels so bloated and the loss seems much slower (versus the amount I am overweight by!)
