    Scotch Eggs
Using Healthy B's - Sin Free on Red
    Ingredients;
    Walls 95% fat free sausages
    Eggs
    Scan bran (Healthy B)
    Method; Boil the eggs.
Using two of the sausages per egg, skin and mould the sausage-meat into rounds and flatten.
Wrap the sausage meat around the egg until completely covered and dip into a whisked egg mix. (the egg will help the broken scan bran to stick together a bit more but is not essential)
Then roll your sausage coated egg in the scanbran till evenly coated.
Place on baking tray. 180 for about 25 mins in a preheated oven.
Delicious served hot or cold with salad.

this is from my SW recipe book. Sausage alternatives are the Morrisons low fat ones (free) or Asda low fat pork (1/2 syn each)

How about a frittata/spanish omelette? Eggs, onion, peppers, courgette, potato (on green), ham (on red) etc and cut into slices when cold?

I am quite good at motivating other people, just can't motivate meself!:rotfl:

If my head is in the right place, I can be really good with food, but exercise is a different matter.

I would LOVE to be the type that enjoys it, I'm just not. Not sure if it's possible to change or if it will always be something I hate

I have started to walk to work, rather than drive, but I see that as a money thing, saving petrol, rather than doing it for other reasons ;)

    Hi everyone

I haven't been around for a few days as DD1 has had the laptop in her bedroom

Lost 1lb last week. Wasn't brilliant Friday and Saturday. Better on Sunday and today. Haven't been worrying about 's' and 'ss' although I know eating plenty of them helped me lose weight before.

I really need to up my exercise. Went for a long walk with the dog last night, was going to do it again tonight but it's started to rain so I'm talking my way out of it.

Not feeling so motivated this week so need to get my head around it again.

Shaz, its not complicated once you get the hang of it, but its definitely better to have the pack to hand for the first couple of weeks.

Picnics - we did this at group last week and had a taster session. Lots of wonderful pasta salad, pepper and sweetcorn frittata, a salad with quorn pieces mixed in was nice, homemade syn free crisps and also someone bought in couscous cake which was divine. If I was having a picnic then I would make it a red day and have plenty of cold meats and salad, followed by a fruit salad.

Burlesque babe, will be great to have you back 'in the fold' lol. I have my 'omg I must lose weight' photo burned into my memory, had it on the wall for a while, took it down but it just stuck in my mind.

I think syn free crisps are thinly sliced sweet potatoes baked in the oven.

Not sure about the couscous cake. Not been brave enough to try couscous yet!

I think one of the pasta salads was from this months mag.

Syn free crisps (on a green) the lady got a microwave crisp maker and does them that way, but not sure on exactly how. She does say that you cant eat them til the cows come home as you will put on weight eating too many. She uses potatoes in their skins, or occasionally sweet potatoes.

Couscous cake! Wow! I have had scan bran cake, and chickpea cake, but the couscous cake was great. Will see if I can find a recipe, if not I can ask on thursday.

jUST FOUND THIS RECIPE BUT I AM SURE THERE IS ONE WITH SWEET POTATOES. I WILL ASK AT SW TOMORROW - UNLESS CLEOSMUM OR BB KNOW AND CAN UPDATE YOU LATER.

f you're doing SW and you love crisps like me, these are a life saver. They take a bit of effort but are so worth it.

slice some potatoes very thin, you can use a mandolin thingy if you've got one.

Spray some fry light onto a plate and spread the potato slices out on the plate

Put into the microwave for 8-10 minutes depending on your microwave, they will start to go brown this is when they're done. In my microwave the ones on the edge of the plate do first and you may have to put the ones in the middle back in for a couple of minutes

sprinkle with salt when they come out of the microwave and leave to cool

    et voila, syn free crisps.
