Well, I suppose my naughty ways would have to catch up with me eventually and I have put on 1lb this week. Shame on me:o
I know that I havent been putting my heart and sole into this but now I can actually see my weight going back up again I am going to draw a line under this set back and get back on the SW wagon.
I think my main problem is that I actually dont understand the SW program and am just bumbling along using the magazine and help on here and SW website. I wonder if I should bite the bullet and get myself along to a class for a while, does anyone know if there is a mimimum signup time???
OR should I just come off the SW program and just start to eat more healthily and do more excercise in general.
Just feel a bit dissapointed in myself as I know I can do this.
Is anyone else finding it really difficult too???
everyone will find the SW plan difficult to do if you dont have the books, there is so much variety in them that you need never get bored. i would bite the bullet and join a class even if it is only for the first class to get the books and have it explained to you, it will cost you £9 but you will have them for life and very little changes in SW. then we will all be here to give you support as and when you need it.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -
Northern lass, has said just what i was thinking louise, you have done well to manage so far. If i had another spare book i would send it you, but len got the spare book i had. I will have another ask around and see, but sometimes the group is well worth going to..it will be a double motivation, the consultant and the folk there will make you really welcome, and combined with this you will be zooming along in no time. x
Lucy, my thought processes are along the line that i am doing this for myself.I am not in a race with anyone. I took a long time to put it on and if it takes a long time to get it off then so be it.
Life has its ups and downs, but it is not the end of the world if the odd pound creeps on, I know what to do to get it off, but i want a life at the same time. If we were all perfect, we would have no problems be the right size, weight, have no debt, perfect lives,...and not have the pleasure of being human we would be stepford wives!
Plus we would not be on here.
Good luck BOB XBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

i did really well this week and do believe it was because i never let myself get hungry, infact i ate even when i wasnt hungry and had to push myself to do so, it was a bit of an experiment and it paid off.
i made sure i had my weetabix for breakfast covered in fruit and yoghurt, then fruit at 10ish, i then had my lunch with was mostly, 4 ryvitas, tub cottage cheese, plenty of free ham and a yoghurt and fruit, then i would have veg and a cottage cheese dip about 2ish then my tea at night, sometimes i had a HEB + A so would have cheese on toast before i went to bed. i had 2 days when i was really busy so didnt get to eat as much as i would have liked but it was OK.
go on give it a go eat all the correct foods as much as you want, NEVER let youself get hungry and see how you get on.
i dont know about you but i found the SW approach to losing weight unrealistic at first, everyone tells you to lose weight you MUST eat LESS so SW was hard to take at first but eating more definitely gets the weight shifting.
Good luck Lucy we are all behind you and we wont give up on you. i feel we are all best friends now and best friends dont give up on each other.
Thanks I am going to give it a go!
I have had a bowl of weetabix and milk topped with a whole banana and some strawberries.
I've brought 2 apples, a fruit salad, yogurt to work with me. I also have picked up a box of Chocolate orange Alpen Lite bars in case I was something a little chocolatey.
I am going to get a jacket potato and beans for lunch which should fill me up and I then have some carrot stick and some dip (about 3 syns worth) for a snack this afternoon.
Then for dinner I am going to make my syn free carbonara and loads of it!!! And I am also going to give a chilli and garlic dip I have found a go, I've got everything to make it, and thought it sounded nice and I can bring it to work with loads of veggie sticks to dunk!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

Problem is my boss has just walked in with a box of 10 jam doughnuts, a tub of muffins (chocolate chip) and some Caramel Shortcakes
it was his birthday last week......
I will be moving them off the filing cabinet at the end of my desk as soon as he goes into his meeting....
That way I wont be able to see them or smell them.
I AM NOT GOING TO EAT ANY!!!!!! :A (sorry for shouting!)Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

So far (day undecided)
2 strawberries and 2 mouthfuls of yog (then realised it was off grrr)
Couldnt face food after that and was touch and go if yesterdays dinner stayed put
Have just managed a pack of crisps at 6.5 syns, will hopefully manage some lunch soon.
Managed to resist various sandwiches, salads and quiche at Tesco and came home and had:
2 x weetabix (HEB) and 250ml semi skimmed milk (HEA).
Half punnet strawberries
6 x laughing cow extra light triangles (HEA)0 -
Well done northernlass and bob on your great weight loss this week.Im at class tonight, I think I may maintain, its actually my star week but I cant say this as I used that excuse when I put weight on in week 2 due to my alcohol intake.
Lucy im glad to see your giving it another go, youv given great support on here to me and others, you need to stay id miss you if you went.I get fed up too that my clothes still fit me and ive been on diet for 4 weeks but hey it will save me money buying new ones, I want to be 3 stone lighter by next week.I think I will feel better when people begin to notice im losing weight.
I was feeling fed up last night and I had a packet of quavors and a cupcake, I wasnt even hungry.I suppose it will take a while to get rid of the old habits.
OH is off to pub to watch the football tonight so I dont know what I will have for tea, it will be just me and the kids.I have to be quite good as its my night out with the vegie curry tommorow and I dont want to blow things.0
