Hi all - just come back on here with a cup of coffee. Lots of (((((((hugs))))))) needed today for all the poorly ones: Dogrose's LO (glandular fever is horrible - my DH had it years ago and he felt really lousy), DLB's LO, Celyn, Arkonite-Babe. Tired Mum, Mr Mix Snr. I can't believe there is illness doing the rounds after the winter's bugs which seemed to get everyone.

I also can't believe all the talk about snow, severe weather warnings and the cold! It's lovely here but we are right down at the bottom of the UK. Hope the severe weather doesn't actually materialise for anyone.

    Happy Birthday MIss Penguin!
Bismarck - welcome to you; we are a lovely bunch on here!

Well, off to put the ironing board up ready for when I get back from the local shops. I've already made some cakes, the bread is rising and I've prepped for tonight's dinner so I feel 'ahead' of myself at the moment.

    See you later.

Hope everyone is doing better than we are here!

Still poorly, no better at all, in fact now have sore throat and ear to add to everything else. Ache from coughing... Master Ivy has decided not to go to school today, can hear him upstairs in the shower coughing away.

Little Miss Ivy still in bed, not disturbed her. She says she's going to her 'duet' rehearsal with friend at her cello teacher's tonight... we'll see. THey're doing Vivaldi double cello concerto at the Youth orchestra leavers' concert in July.

MIL rang a few mins ago to see where we were up to, she has nothing on today, so will do something for me if I need. I think I might weaken! She popped in with eggs yesterday, but the fridge is really rather empty. Unusually for me there are things in there that I haven't used up. Will have to throw a couple of things away, which I don't like doing. Still, it doesn't happen often and I am ill after all! I'm to ring MIL back when I've thought about it!

The OS forum is keeping me sane at the mo, it's not much effort to click away, I don't feel like doing anything, so keeping me entertained. I don't watch telly as a rule, because I'm generally not interested, so you can imagine that daytime offerings don't make the grade!

Keep writing folks and keep keeping me amused, have a good day all.

    OK Pen,

No sympathy then, just lots and lots of virtual hugs - can't find the hug smilie, so you will just have to have a sloppy kiss instead :kisses3:

    Happy birthday miss penguin!

N9eav, your race sounds like a lot of fun (except for the swim! It's snowing here so I hope it wasn't TOO cold.)

    (((Pen pin)))

Yesterday was a good day here and everything is organised for me to just get on with it today as a result. Will be making more bread after yesterday's got snaffled by us and our guests and I sent them home with the recipe.

The little one only woke up twice last night which is just fantastic and DH dealt with him so I actually got a whole night's sleep for the first time in a long time.

Breakfast was bread and jam with fruit for everyone else. I don't have an appetite this morning. Must be because of not feeding the lad during the night. Long may that continue. I can't keep my jeans buttoned at the moment because of my voracious appetite.

Lunch is cauldren sausage casserole that was made for us by a friend and dinner is squash lasagne and corn on the cob.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
