As there is no list for GISC for us to check who was and who wasn't, another idea has come to mind.

If we go onto google search, and maybe find out that way by maybe writing the names of bank, terms & conds, and the year, if we can, maybe too much to add into the engine but it may be worth checking to see what happens, or if anyone has old documents which states they do, to start adding in these forums, and a list can be confirmed....... .

Its okay I have a silly head on my shoulders today lol:D , but its just so annoying not knowing who was and who wasn't a member...... .

Am I right or wrong here folks please?
Were all banks members of GISC before the FSA taken over in Jan 2005?

I assumed they were but do not want to advise the wrong info to anyone if it's not the case here.

Now on another thread, its states that Black Horse were not members of GISC, and to my knowledge I take it these are linked with Lloyds TSB who were members of GISC before the change of the FSA??
I know that in november 2001 the Co-op were and also Barclays Firstplus were in November, 2001 but don't know about all.

If anyone from the Finanical Ombudsman Service is watching our site then could we pleeeease have a GISC register online to check these firms out before submitting enquiries to you and wasting time.

(I have asked lots of time before - would help tremendously!!!!!)

I just taken it as "Black Horse" being linked to LLoyds would have been because Lloyds were members of GISC prior to 2005...... .
On the other thread I know the one member stated that his/her case could not be looked into because Black Horse were not members then.

Hopefully the FOS do look into these sites, it would be good if they could supply a list here for us, this would make life a lot damn easier, for us and for them too.;)
