Hello ALL, its been a while since ive been on here, well a few weeks bet ive missed loads, trying to catch up...... well im still waiting on Halifax to send my cheque, im getting frustatred because when i call halifax for a simple progress report on the redress etc, its like im asking them to fly to the moon and back, my patience is running VERY thin, by right they have till the w/c 13/10/08, but surely they should be able to tell me something:mad:

anyone else expericing any difficulties at the last lap of the RACE?!?:rotfl:
Hiya Busta, you won this going through the FOS didn't you. I know Laini and Di had trouble like this and it is frustrating. I would maybe tell Halifax you are going back to the FOS if they don't pay up quick. They are not treating you fairly.

    hi all.

i took out a loan for under £10k with A+L in 2004. the loan term was for 60 months, but i paid it off last summer after 36.

when i was sold the loan i distinctly remember having the payment protection pushed onto me. i managed to talk them down from their original figure (which i seem to recall was over £20 a month), to just under £10 a month. i was told that without any cover i could not have the loan.

i've checked my documentation and i'm not backed up in any way.

am i right to chase this?

    many thanks.

    Hi

Sounds strange that you were able to negotiate PPI amount with them:rolleyes:

The best thing would be to download the letter from the PPI reclaiming information and send off £10.00 for the SAR and you should then have all the information that you need if you feel that you have been miss-sold. Good Luck:D

Was this a single premium insurance. (a loan on top of your original loan to cover this)??

the paperwork i have is at home at the mo....

it was listed with a product code, and with the total amount payable (over £500 with interest), as well as listing the interest rate for it (the same rate as the loan) and the monthly amounts.

this sounds like a loan on top of a loan to me? without looking i'm not sure though.:o

Think you mean Barclays First Plus:D. Personally I would not bother download forms from FOS (if you are taking it through there) fill in the forms and send a courtesy copy for Barclays First Plus of the form that you send to the FOS. Final Response usually means "end of conversation". Good luck;)

No, go to the FOS now and also send Barclays Firstplus a copy of your complaint as a courtesy.

Sorry maxdp, I answered the same as well. I had not read your reply.:o

I am no further with the FOS but just hanging about like everyone else here. Just have to wait and be patient i guess although patience and me do not mix.:D
