Hi there hun
And is that so ?? .
I would definately dig deeper with this one, its your money hun and this does not seem right.
So was it the debt collection agency that told you this direct then ?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I sent a claim to Goldfish in January on behalf of my oh as he has been paying for insurance despite not being able to work due to ME for 7 years. This is them just replying now saying 'no refund as you signed'.
So he phoned to say yes he signed (8 years ago) but then told them he wasn't able to work a year after that and he told them so at the time. He has been still paying it since despite also being on a reduced payment scheme. They then told him they had sold on the debt the day they sent him the letter so wouldn't discuss it further. The debt collection agency say we won't get anything back as the policy would still have covered him if he died!0 -

You should have taken this to the FOS as soon as 8 weeks were up if you were missold.
Why did they sell the debt to a debt agency??0 -

Well I would not leave this one there, he was still ripped off.
Are your local CAB any good hun by any chance?
This does not seem right here and it seems they are just trying to fob you off.
Have you all the paperwork to this at all?
If not write and request it, if your having problems getting all the paperwork then a SAR would be another idea but as you know costs £10, but with this they have to supply this by law within 40 days of request.
Maybe someone else here could advise you on this but to me this do not seem right and if it can be avoided requesting a SAR the better if they can supply you with what you need here.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Yeah I know but the oh wanted to wait as they kept saying to him we're working on it with our legal team and will get back to you.
Been working on my own claims and getting nowhere so he wasn't inspired to take it further and I can't sign for him or anything.0 -
Going off now early as i need my bed.
Good luck with your letters theClarks. Post them up again and sorry not to have asked if both PPI's were sold by firstplus earlier but just assumed. It will be a bit more work but most likely worth it in the end. I am with you all the way with FIrstplus...:mad:0 -
They sold the debt on despite being on a reduced payment scheme (suggested by them) as the total wasn't decreasing - since found out they were still charging full interest so the payment didn't even cover that and the total was still going up!
CAB were useless unfortunately as they just told us to go bankrupt which there is no way I am losing my home with a child to take into consideration!0 -

It may be worth a phone call to the FOS though..I would, its wrong what they have done. FOS still may be able to help. Ask for the fast track in your circumstances too.0
