Hello Di
Just got off the phone from FOS and asked them to fast track my complaint, so long as I can evidence this i.e bank statements, letter of arrears etc this will help. I agreed to submit what I have in anticipation that they can speed up the process. Because I have a 2nd complaint with them which has not been assigned an adjudicator they suggest I do the same which would also benefit my case. I will get those letters off in the post today and keep my fingers and toes crossed for a speedy resolution. Here goes... Thanks again!0 -

On the subject of old accounts, I used to be with TSB, okay I know its Lloyds tsb now but when it was called TSB.
I then met my hubby and after a while we went joint then with Lloyds TSB.
Left the other running but don't think there was much left in there anyway, maybe a few quid, so have not bothered since, it left my mind and that was it. I did not close it though !
There was a write up on the net a while ago about tracking customers of old accounts, this was free, so I sent the form after remembering this, gave ALL my details, maiden name address, could not remember the account number, but unfortunately I received a letter weeks later to tell me they could not trace it, and it was in the time scale they asked for too - records wise ??
I know there wasn't a lot in that account but I do often wonder if anything over the years had been paid into it ?? .
Silly me should have not forgetten about this....The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

marshallka wrote: »Di, when you posted the link i did it too and have quite a few accounts with little bits in. I had letters too to say they could not trace any. I actually have the books here up the loft so i think its a bit of a con really. I hope they don't store details of you and are up to anything dodgy. I was just trying to see how good they were:eek:
I was thinking that hun and luckily I did not have the account number, but yes it makes you think.
It looks like they have been telling us all the same then ??
Best be careful in the future I think..... .
I think I will ask my mum next time she is up the loft to dig out my details and do this directly myself, see what happens from there, we will soon know if something dodgy has been going on.
I'm sure my mum has a box full of these, she is a bit of a hoarderlol.
