I just need to know. My other complaint with Co-op i had an intial letter to say they had received the complaint, then a letter to say that the complaint was awaiting an adjudicator but this one i have just had the letter to say they have received the complaint and nothing else:confused:

No wonder your frustrated about this..... .

I do know from my experience its every 4 weeks you should receive some form of letter as from the first letter onwards, but because they did not look at the mis selling one with Endeavour that was a matter of about a week or 2 weeks after they sent out the letter of confirming they had received it.

My lloydstsb credit card ppi complaint has been with them for about 3 months now, will double check later, about a week or 2 after I received the first letter to confirm they have received the complaint.

About 2/3 weeks after a letter to tell me it was in the queue for the adjudicator and they will get touch again in 4 weeks, 4 weeks went by and I received another letter to inform me due to the high volume in complaints it was still waiting to be passed on...... , so I should hear again in the next week or 2 I believe as they state they will be in touch in 4 weeks from that letter to keep me updated.;)

With Endeavour (mis selling) they confirmed they had received the letter, then about a week maybe 2 weeks at the most they returned everything back to me to say they are unable to look at the complaint because they were not under jurisdiction at that time.

In my personal opinion I think you would have heard by now if they could not take a look, because they have other complaints to move on with as you know.....;) , and will sometimes guide you into what else you can do like getting in touch with another organisation etc, but to me yes I agree its looking promising for you, will keep it all crossed here for you.;) .

What happened as the adjudicator had not acted accordingly?? I thought that that was it then if they say "no can do" then surely there is nothing else they can do. Did they resubmit the case again?? Tell me more....

I had a case that was given to an adjudicator and then it was actually thrown out two days later:confused: I have resubmitted but not heard anything yet as they are still trying to see if its something they can look at i assume. They said it was then it wasn't. Its so confusing. I complained at rule 78 at first (as this was what FIrstplus led me to believe was the prob) and i did not realise that the settlement was anything to do with this insurance. It was not until now that i actually realise how these policies work and what they cost. I really want some money back from Firstplus as they put us through hell at a time in lives when things were bad enough.

Stress related probs go hand in hand with debt.

Hi Just popped out to pick kids up. From what I remember the adjudicator had gone on leave (I think) and somebody was complaining on the Forum do not think it was this one but cannot remember it was about six months ago. But they made a point of saying that the only way they could have found out the details was by reading the post they had made. It was then sorted extremely quickly by another adjudicator. I think it was the extreme hardship phrase that did it. If i remember the poster had already sent in copies of their bank statements etc.

If you feel they had treated you badly and you are having problems getting FOS to help why don't you go down the other line, I know that it is against your beliefs but if it is the only way of being compensated for all the £$%& you have had to put up with from them plus the amount of time it has taken you to sort this out. I am all for DIY and have sorted lots out myself but sometimes if the barstewards are not playing game then its time to get tough.

    Ohhhh ark at me. LOL

I think i may hear soon then as Di says, i just thought that every month they informed you of progess and i have not heard anything of this other than they have received it. I think that until they know for definate this time they won't build up my hopes. As regards the compo thing i think the FOS applies for this is they think you have had the runaround anyway.

Yes I usually get a letter on a monthly basis for the ones I have in with them. The only exception was one with MBNA and when I sent it in to them they sent back within a week saying it was out of the 6 month limit from the time that I had had the Last Response letter. I then wrote back and justified that I had informed MBNA that I was looking into things and had informed them of such and that they had telephoned me two months after Final Response to say that seeing that my OH was self employed would they like to take out a Business Account:rolleyes:. They would have only got this information from the information I sent to the fos.

The FOS then said that they would look into it. Within a month we had received communication from MBNA saying that after assessing original paperwork they were willing to settle all PPI plus interest etc etc.

Others e.g. Barclaycard PPI they received on 18th February and is still in the queue but I do hear monthly.

I so hope that your are successful this time:D
