I don't think that some people would be in the situations that they are in now if they had not got into the trap of consolidation and then having PPI rammed down their throats just to get more profit. I actually got ill after the Firstplus loan, things were just too much and i already had other things to deal with (health probs and not just a cold either lol) at the time and this just topped it off. Naivity i would call it and from them it was a case of preying on the vulnerable.
Quite agree you go to these people expecting to take their professional advice LOL:D and get shafted left right and centre and it in fact makes problems worse.
The case I was talking about had already gone down the line of hardship and the adjudicator had not acted accordingly.
I too have had stress problems re OH debts but am determied to get them sorted if we do we should be back in a state of no debt:rotfl:How wonderful that would be. Fingers crossed. Hope you are feeling better now its good to be able to share things stops us feeling isolated I think.:mad:0 -

I had a case that was given to an adjudicator and then it was actually thrown out two days laterI have resubmitted but not heard anything yet as they are still trying to see if its something they can look at i assume. They said it was then it wasn't. Its so confusing. I complained at rule 78 at first (as this was what FIrstplus led me to believe was the prob) and i did not realise that the settlement was anything to do with this insurance. It was not until now that i actually realise how these policies work and what they cost. I really want some money back from Firstplus as they put us through hell at a time in lives when things were bad enough.
Stress related probs go hand in hand with debt.0 -

I had to provide a copy of my updated bank statements and any copies of credit that had to be paid out, mine though still taken just over a year, because while waiting for this to be sorted out, my mortgage deal had ended and we were paying well over the original amount, so we had to remortgage and include the Nemo loan in with this amount to clear this, so really we borrowed a lot more on the mortgage because of all the waiting for this complaint to be settled.
Nemo also paid £250 compensation on top of the £12K+ ppi, even though we did request for more. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

If i wanted to take this to the courts the longer its with the FOS trying to see if its something they can look into the longer it is for time barring. I only want to know if they this time can look into it or not. Nothing more, just that its going to get a fair hearing and not like last time where i waited, got an adjudicator and then it was turned away 2 days later. I felt like i was having a carrot dangled and a weight was gone off my mind and then like i back in my hole. It made me so mad and sad and stressed at the same time. If they can't look then fair play but just to let me know. Its about this unfair rebate thing that Tiggrae seems to think goes on the date of settlement and not the date of sale and also through the lender and not the broker. I did waffle on my other complaint as i have only learn't what i have on here. Perhaps i confused the FOS so much. I have tried not to waffle and KIS this time. Just want to know thats all and its only been about a 6 weeks 7 weeks now:eek: .
Bliming eck that's a long time to wait for an answer, but to be honest hun, I know you need to know to settle your mind, but I think you would have heard by now if they couldn't look, so it proves to me that they are going to look into this, hopefully I'm right here.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
