    if it's made using section 56 of the CCA (ie responsible for the actions of their agents) I currently have a claim in with the FOS now on that basis and they are assessing the statutory and jurisdiction implications now - hopefully (as I believe) they'll see the law is clear and that you can make a 'lender' responsible for the actions of their authorised agents
    Section 56 or 75:confused::confused:

    I tried that one and they were not having any with Firstplus??

    I hope they can use this one. It will make things a lot easier.

    Also why should a post 2005 have to make a complaint like that?? Insurance was a regulated activity here in the UK and Bespoke had a CCL so how did they get one. Its beyond me this is... The authorities allowed this to happen in the first place.

    wasn't that because the loan with first plus was outside their jurisdiction timeframe??

    it's actually both 56 & 75

    Also if they are selling loans / insurance in the UK after 15.01.05 I think they should be registered with the FSA or the Gibraltar FSA - as they appear to be neither then maybe this will be highlighted to the FSA if a complaint is made about a loan taken out in 2005

    Thats exactly what i added to my post above. I sent info off to them and they said they could do nothing. Lets hope more people do this and stop these GIB firms getting the better of us.:D

    Yeah, suppose so, it was 2001 just before they were members of the GISC.

    Thanks Tiggrae and Marshallka

    This will be the 3rd time today, hubby tried ringing too only to be told someone would get back, the usual fob off......:confused: .

    I will email them again now then;) , cheers.
    Wish me luck.:D
    I rang GIB and was told that too one afternoon and then i got so fed up i actually said i would hold when the person was in a meeting. I held on and nothing then i did hang up but then rang back again and again and again. I did get to speak to them eventually.

    If someone kept ringing you and you did not want to talk but had to answer the phone then eventually you would talk wouldn't you. You would want rid of them, thats my view. Keep on and you ring as well Di. They are perhaps frightened of the "man". They think us women are push overs. (LOL)

    Its probably lunch time now so hang about until about 3 ish and then ring and ring again. You need this sorting out. After all are they "treating their customers fairly now"...and they are still trading. I would say not.
