    Hey again

Just a quickie to you more-switched on people!

I am writing to LTSB to ask them to re look at my claim regarding PPI purchased with a loan in 98.

Can anyone think of any really important points not to miss? Essentially, they say it was a long time ago and they would be prejudiced having to defend it, blah blah, Oh and that I signed saying I had been given a policy booklet re PPI - when I know I didn't.

Any tips at all, even obvious ones would be great- as they won't b e obvious to me!

Hope you all have a good Saturday night!
    Thanks
    Caterina
If it was a single premium policy then did you know that you would be paying interest on it for the full term of the loan and i bet you were only insured for so many years of the loan.

Also if this loan was repaid early did you get a fair rebate against the policy.

Also was the loan joint and only one person insured. If so you both would be responsible for the interest charged on this PPI...

Were you asked medical questions and told what would not be covered.

Were you told it was compulsory or that you could buy it elsewhere.

Were you self employed and did the policy still cover you. (check the t and c's)

    Credit Charge - £4,350.16
    Total Cash Loan - £15,350.16

    PPL - £2967.91
Charge for Credit for PPL - £1,108.61
    Total Insurance Loan - £4,076.52

Total Amount to pay - £19,426.68

Hi Marshalla as long as you know the amount plus interest on the original PPI loan and know when it started and how many payments think I can work it out. Have had to do this with Barclays which is through the FOS at mom as they are trying to fleece me out of 50 percent of what is owing. Only amateur but more you do more you understand.:D:rotfl:

Have you put the FOS right on this as i think if they are fleecing you then you need to let them know. I would want an apolgy as this is what you wanted them to do and they have messed up and 50% is quite a lot to be fleeced by. (I take it you mean the FOS has messed up and not just Barlcays:confused: )

M Colak used to do all our working on a calculator and he never comes on just lately. Too busy i guess but he always needed the APR and monthly interest rate.

Yes but FOS adjudicator can only mediate. Have sent figures in showing how they owe me an extra £3750.00 and am awaiting their response. This is what I have been saying that FOS only mediate just because they uphold complaint they do not work out figures and people assume that because it has gone through FOS it will be sorted fairly. IT IS NOT:mad:. To all out there check and double check figures.
Tiggrae told me that 7 out of 10 of the figures that come back through FOS are incorrect. FOS do not check them.
    Am not giving up:rotfl:
