ok, well im going to post my form to FSO tomorrow re miss sell by Lloyds Tsb so fingers crossed. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a response of yes or no - not sure if we are looking at weeks or months!
Initially they look at it very quickly to see if all paperwork is in order. Then at mom taking about 9 months for it to go to an adjudicator then they will investigate:mad:
Its a waiting game unless Tiggrae has other advice:D:mad:0 -
Thanks very much!
Tiggrae- thanks- have you ever known a company pay out without going down the Ct route for claims of this age? In other words- is there any point me continuing this claim? Perversely, one of my loans which I sensibly did not take ppi out on was mentioned by LTSB in error- taken out in Feb 00 and they said they would look at it if I could prove I had paid ppi- despite it being over 6 years old..............
If there is no point, whilst I am seething, does everyone think I am onto a loser? I would normally fight to the death but my baby is due in three weeks and I have nappies to think of.....................!
Thanks everyone. Don't you just hate being ripped off? OR being stupid.
Caterina
I always think of it as a learning curve, you will have learnt to question these things in the future. Am sure lots of us on this site feel the same and cannot believe we have been duped so easily. Keep chin up and good luck to you and your forthcoming baby:rotfl:and nappies:eek::mad:0 -

Hi taylor.
Once your complaint has been received to the FOS, they will send you a letter after about a week to confirm they have received this, and then to what I can recall, you will then receive a letter to inform you that your case is now waiting to be passed onto the Adjudicator, this bit takes time as there is a waiting system for this, they will then tell you they will get in touch in the next 4 weeks to confirm at what stage their at now, or if still waiting in the queing system.
Good luck with this.

Dear All
I was wondering if anybody reclaiming PPI with First Plus is doing so because they were not told that they would continue to pay interest on the PPI even after it had expired after 5 years.
I have a 10 year loan and have listened to the tape recording with the First Plus Salesman. This vital piece of information was not at any stage given to us.
Just wondering if First Plus have a pattern of misselling and if the above omission of information was typical ?
As always very thankful for any advice.
Feebs
Hi Feebs - we are in the same position  - we didn't even know we had this insurance, let alone that it was 'optional' and the fact that it only covers my husband, not myself - we were desperate - our claim is now with FOS - FP have offered us a ridiculous amount - I hope they come unstuck - Good luckDEBT free:j0 -

Hi there
Have you complained to the company yet ?
If not there is a template on this forum a few posts back or if you click above where it shows in RED "Reclaim £1,000's" there is some information and a template below.
If they do not uphold your complaint refund you on the first letter of complaint, sent another until you get a final response, if still unsuccessful then take it to the financial ombudsmans service.;)
If you require more help/info here hun, just give us a shout.
Good luck!

My other half has a loan with HSBC - taken out 3 years ago. It was all done over the internet - secure e-mails and all that.
Anyway - PPI was included in a single amount lump sum to the premium - some £5k in total. Understandably, she can remember little about the e-mail exchanges and she pays £65 a month on the PPI.
So two questions...
a) can she stop the PPI payments straight away?
and
b) does she have any grounds for reclaiming the premiums, bearing in mind she has no recollection of the e-mail questions, and only visited the branch to sign the form which has "I have agreed to take Insurance" (or words to that effect) wording on it.
The term of the insurance is the same as the loan (so she can't quote that). Would HSBC have kept the e-mail transcription and if so can a Q"do you want PPI" - A "Yes" constitute misselling?
Any help or advice is appreciated0
