    Hi Guys,
just had another letter from the FOS letting me know that my complaint has been passed to the casework support team to await allocation to an adjudicator, and that someone will write to me as soon as possible with a progress update. Does it normally happen this fast? they've only had the complaint a couple of weeks. So how long will it take from here - anybody any ideas?

Think the casework support team is the holding area until allocated to adjudicator. In my experience this could take up to nine months but I am sure that read on here somewhere that it could be up to a year:mad:

Some have been passed sooner. I think if you have hardship issues it can be fast tracked.:D

Can't believe this, i have just received a letter from the Co-op asking me to send a cheque for a full SAR to them for £10 and a template for a SAR preprinted by them. They received my request at the end of July and first sent out details of bank charges and nothing else. I then asked them to actually read my letter as this was regarding the loans with them. They told me that this would then be sent out immediately. I have now had this in this mornings post. I have rang them again and they have asked me what i actually want. I have told them again that i want details of anything to do with all loans we have had with them. That was original request. They have now apologised and say they are sending this information out. The thing is they have cashed my cheque some time ago. Its so annoying that they do not actually read your letters.

My compaint is now with the ombudsman but i still want my SAR from them. I want to see just what we have actually paid with interest over the 4 loans we had. I know 2 at least are time barred but when you have it on paper of what they have had from you then it makes you more determined to win your claim.

Mate, what planet are these people on? I am sure it is a stalling tactic, how long have you been waiting - don't forget they only have 40 CALENDAR days to supply you with everything! report them NOW!
LTSB PPI - £770 ish for dad
LTSB PPI for dad - £1800 for dad
    Barclays PPI claim for self-£2204
Dads home insurance - reduced by £200 a year "WE DO NOT LIVE IN FLOOD AREA AND I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOULD PAY FOR THOSE THAT DO - I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR"!

Thanks, I only put the complaint in on 29 Jul and I've already had 2 letters from them. It's againsts Barclays, who after 11 weeks of waiting were still unable to provide me with a response and had no idea of when they would be able to provide one. I informed Barclays that I had complained to the FOS and they just said ok, I still haven't had anything at all from Barclays regarding my claim for mis-selling.

    Hi Sarah

Barclays:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Think they need sorting out. I have 3 Loans with PPI with FOS. My complaint was upheld. Took 6 weeks to get money and now am in dispute with them through the FOS about the amount. This has taken 2 months and although i remind FOS weekly and they send messages to Barclays they have Ostrich approach e.g. Bury head in sand and you will not be seen.

If eventually:D your complaint is upheld check figures very carefully cause Barclays will do anything they can to pull wool over your eyes.

In my experience with Barclays if they have not sent you a letter with FINAL RESPONSE on it FOS will not start proceedings.

Its not 40 days yet but just so annoying how they want me to pay again and that they have sent me their template thingy. They have said now that it will be dealt with within the 40 days. Time will tell and if its over then i am gunning for them.

Just rang the ombudsman myself about this letter to say its awaiting an adjudicator thing and was told nothing had been passed or not passed for what is within jurisdiction just because of that letter.

I was told that now they ask the bank for details and it up to the bank to either say, yes, its within jurisdiction or no we are not going to send you details as its outside jurisdiction. I hope this clears things up on here. The banks can refuse to let the ombudsman have any details if it says that they have no jurisdiction over something otherwise they have to comply.

Hi that makes sense 'cause they would not know details until an adjudicator looked into it.

Thats so frustrating cause its more hanging about for ages until you know if they can get involved.

Did not realise that thought as long as it was with the FOS in time it would not be time barred. Did FOS say that or is that what you already have confirmed.
