think virgin are about the worst - my sister is with them and she's had 2 computers! the first one got slower and slower and then died - the second one is in the 'shop' at the moment getting fixed - i swear it's something they pipe in! ask them for new everything - that's what my mate did at work and they replaced all the cables and the cable modem, hers is a lot better now.
I did not think it came in through a wire???

I thought it was supposed to be fibre optic or something. Whenever i mention wires to them they always say "no its nothing to do with that, must be your router".

Had a letter from the FOS letting me know they had received all the paperwork and that they are very busy but they will be in touch with me as soon as they can.

I have completed the form for my dad for LTSB and put on it that I am complaining on his behalf, will copy it at work tomorrow and get it in the post.
LTSB PPI - £770 ish for dad
LTSB PPI for dad - £1800 for dad
    Barclays PPI claim for self-£2204
Dads home insurance - reduced by £200 a year "WE DO NOT LIVE IN FLOOD AREA AND I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOULD PAY FOR THOSE THAT DO - I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR"!

i think they secretly put something in to make it go slow! if it's the rourer then i would ask for a new up to date one! that's what you pay for, just like with a mobile - you get to upgrade! so they should upgrade routers as well

I got one from FOS today and it said it was awaiting an adjudicator. I wonder how long we will wait now.

They have only just started giving routers away and we have the one that they give away to customers. I am ok with my speed now or at least its not as bad but we paid for 20 meg for 18 months and then was eventually told it was the cable modem as we had an old model, that was not capable of 20meg so my argument was that i wanted the money back i had paid or at least some. They agreed to pay me x amount and this was confirmed by 5 different managers and then they pulled out saying we were already getting a discount. I then have taken this to CISAS as we were expecting this cheque and they let us down. I want what they told me i was getting.

I received my letter from the FOS just over as fortnight ago, this one regarding mis sold credit card ppi (Lloyds), and was told that this was also waiting to be passed on to the adjudicator, and they will be in touch within 4 weeks with an update.
Although they did quote of the high volumes of this, but we all know that don't we ?

Hubby received his letter last week to confirm the same thing.
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D

surely if you are paying for 20meg that's what your modem should be able to handle, so they should therefore upgrade it, or reduce your monthly payments, otherwise they are in breach of contract! i would have thought they haven't got a leg to stand on! when i moved up here i had real problems connecting to aol, and they didn't charge me for 3 months while they tried to fix, they gave me free dial up, alas it couldn't be fixed so they lty me cancel my contract 4 months early with no penalty. I'm on bt now, on a shared network, only £2.50 each a month! and works a treat
