I'm also with AOL and tear my hair out. Unbelievable slow - beginning to regret taking out a 24 month contract with them :-(

That's the thing isn't it having a contract with them?...... , I even tried to go onto IE (internet explorer) because of this running slow it just seemed to be very corrupted..... .

I think we should complain about the service us aol customers are having because I have spoken to no end of members who are having this trouble, more so than not....
They could at least knock something off the bill....

    Dear All,
I have just had a final response from the now NOT so nice guy at Welcome saying FINAL RESPONSE. No Refund and contact FOS. However cannot contact FOS as loan 2003? Am I right??? I have noted all my points about mis-selling. Is it worth harrassing him in the hope he will change his mind??
Or like I thought is court the only option now?
 They are not keeping my money!!!

Were Welcome members of GISC at the time??

I think from reading another post they were members in the latter part of 2004, can't be sure though??

It may be a court thing but Tiggrae could perhaps advise you how and what to put.

I believe you are right Marshallka, I do know a member who has a complaint in with the FOS over the road and his was also prior to 2003 or so.;) And the FOS are investigating the complaint, have not turned it away.;)
I would still send in a complaint form to the FOS and somewhere on the form I would add (member of GISC) etc.;)

Yeah Di, but shamrocks complaint relates to 2003 so they probably would not look at the misselling part if they were not members of GISC then. Really shamrock7 needs to ring FOS and ask about the membership date. (and post it for other claimants to look at....)

Just looked over the road again and someone seems to think 2002 so its best that shamrock7 rings and asks. So much conflicting advice.

FOS would be able to tell you if they can look into it. On saying that look what they did to me:mad: Yes we can, no we can't....

look at the small print - if your service is not what is expected of a good internet service provider (that should be written into the contract) then you can cancel the contract on those grounds and go with someone else - you have a right to expect a good service and I suspect it's in their contract that they have to provide it !!!!
