Lol they are sneaky! Yes I have gone for misselling in all my letters, and although in their final response they stated that they were not accepting liability they offered me the 78% as a goodwill gesture (however this was after a second letter from me - the first response from them was a resounding NO, they hadn't missold me the policy or done anything wrong). Surely if they have offered me 78% as a goodwill gesture they must know they were in the wrong? I'm scared if I go to the FOS for the 100% that I might lose all of it - that's where all the 90% business came from - me being scared if ending up with nothing!! But if I've got a strong enough claim then I'll do it. I'll write back to FP telling them I want the whole amount and also start the complaint with the FOS.
Pixie983, you really should win. I know its frightening and that is what they want from you, fear that you will lose. The FOS are upholding most complaints of single premium front loaded policies since 2005 and yours was later than that. You really should win this and FIrstplus are known for stinging people over these policies too. Firstplus were GISC regsitered in 2001 and then in 2005 the FSA took over and rules became much stronger. Go for it if i was you. You do have a case and i know that it takes some time with FOS but its worth the wait when you know you are not being taken for a ride as FIrstplus would do.

Laini is someone to talk to about Firstplus and she won hers. I know she would tell you the same.

I added to my post here and i think you read and quoted it before. I hope it helps. Its here for reading

I have just looked back at all your posts and I would definately go for the whole amount and the interest etc. They will rip you off otherwise. Its what they do. Get your complaint into FOS as soon as possible and let FIrstplus know in the meantime that you have now taken it to FOS and are not accepting their offer at all. You are adamant that you WERE missold this. Keep the letter short and to the point to them. You are still allowed to keep in touch with the business even if your complaint is with FOS but sometimes the firm (Firstplus) won't respond to you as they have already given you their final response.

If you are happy to accept the 90% then its entirely up to you but i would go for the lot.

Good luck. We will all help you as much as we can

I will be overjoyed to even get back the rebate on the Endeavour claim, shame these were not under anyone such as GISC when we had the loan but at least this is something......as it was unfair.;)

I really don't think Click the active brokers or should I say the directors regarding the mis selling of the loan, considering the group of these I had a loan with dissolved which is damn annoying that the same directors are still running with yet another Click business.......
The same directors from 2001, as proved on one of their profiles.....online:rolleyes: .

Yes I read the bit you added to your post afterwards! I think you are right - If I'm going for 90% I may aswell go for the whole lot. And they have done their job - made me scared I will lose by saying firstly they did nothing wrong & rejecting my claim, then admitting no liability but offering me a goodwill gesture, making me think they are doing me a favour! I think I just have to bite the bullett and go for the lot - and keep my fingers crossed. :p

Some banks are using the desperation thing now knowing that FOS is six months behind so its up to the individual and how soon they want their money. Lots are making offers of lower figures and goodwill gestures in the hope that people are desperate enough to accept it.
Really, even though they know its with the FOS? would they still try and offer something?

Did singlep say something once about these being the same directors???

I really feel for you Di, nothing is simple cut and dried. You have got to work hard for these and i really hope it pays off for you in the end.

No, not when its with FOS i don't think. Someone on here (singlep) wrote tonight about banks taking a different approach to these claims now knowing that FOS is taking a long time and then offering people goodwill gestures or rebates etc in the hope that the wait will put people off going to FOS.
