Its just the same as Firstplus closing. I don't think these companies can survive without the PPI sales. Maybe tiggrae could advise here.
Thanks hun and yes its seems we are jinxed as this would be the 3rd company we have tried reclaiming from...... .
Maybe my only way forward here would be to try to pursue through their partner companies, the FOS did in fact send me details of both HFC and HSBC when we received the letter over a month ago to inform us they were unable to proceed due to Endeavour not then being regulated, they were also part of Beneficial finance and I do think these three partnership companies were regulated in 2001 or earlier, will have to check them out.;)
Hopefully Tiggrae will have some ideas for me, thanks hun.;)

For anyone who wants further information about Payment protection insurance mis selling, and have not yet come across this on the main front page, especially newbies who may have missed this, here is the list some examples:
If any of the following applied to you at the time of the sale, you probably have grounds for complaint:
You were under 18, or over 65.
You worked less than 16 hours a week.
You were employed in a Temp or Contract basis.
You suffered stress or backache.
Had an existing illness.
Were aware you became unemployed.
Were not told the true cost of Insurance (or not told you were buying at all).
Was not asked about any other insurances.
Were told the insurance was necessary for you to get the loan.
Were not told that the same Policy could potentially be bought elsewhere.
Pressurised into taking the PPI cover. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Its two separate loans with them and as i said the first loan is within the jurisdiction for the sale of the ppi and the second loan just falls outside the jurisdiction but is within jurisdiction for the unfair rebate. Thats what i meant.:D
Am i allowed (as i already have done) to make the claims to FOS on the same form.0 -
Just read this now, did anyone or is anyone else aware of this ?

I have just recently wrote to Endeavour Personal Finance too, so maybe its back to the HFC, any thoughts please folks, because I know the HFC were regulated I think 2001 or earlier ?

honestly, they are two different complaints and really should have been on two different forms - what did you put as the date the 'event' took place - I think you'll have totally confused the FOS - if you have a case number I'd contact them again and resubmit the complaint form and then put a 2nd one in for the 2nd complaint0

Hi all, I am new here so please be kind!!!!!!
Anyway I have been reading this forum for a while now and decided to try and claim my ppi back on various loans, credit cards etc.....
I have got a Lloyds TSB credit card,I have had it for over 10 years now the balance has fluctuated over the time.I am sure I have been mis-sold the ppi for the following reasons.....I was given the card with ppi whilst I was on a temporary contract,I have never been employed for more than the stated 16 hours or more ,I have an ongoing medical condition and I was under the impression it was something I had to have!!!!!!
I wrote to LTSB voicing my concerns and they have replied (7 weeks later) with a final response saying that they will not pay out as they don't believe I was mis-sold the ppi!
I am at a loss of what to do next ,any advice would be appreciated. This is MY money and I want it back...0 -

You could go to FOS now if its within their jurisdiction.0 -

After that its goes before an adjudicator and they then get all the info from the company to try to find out if it was missold. There is a big waiting list and complaints are taking about 6 months but it is worth the wait. For it to go before the ombudsman then they have to have been members of GISC. If it was after 2005 then they have to have been registered by the FSA to sell insurance anyway. If they were not (you can ring and ask FOS about this) then FOS cannot help but its likely they were GISC members at some point.
You will only be able to go back to the date they were members of GISC though (and not more than 6 years ago) so find that out first and ask for a complaints ref number.0
