Just a quick question for Tiggrae (or whoever else may know???)
If you make a claim through FOS to the same company for front loaded PPI can you also make a claim on the same form for another loan whereby it was unfair rebate (as the actual sale of the ppi falls outside jurisdiction due to dates).???
I have made my co-op claim through FOS now about two loans, one for misselling (this was within the jurisdiction) and one for unfair rebate as this was sold before Co-op were members of GISC.0 -
Thanks Di/Marshallka, I thought as much.
I'll post up the figures when I have a minute.LBM November 2005: approx £32K :eek:Current debt: approx £12K :TGetting there one day at a time0 -
Hi there Marshallka
How's you ?
I have been here but obviously been here on different times to you.
Had some good news today, my hubby finally recieved his "protection award" compo which will go into the bank in a few days......:D , he was a steelworker for a number of years and the plant closed down without notice just 4 days before xmas which left himself and about 400 workers with no pay or anything for christmas etc, so I am gonna have a little bit of a drink later to celebrate......:j  , will still be on and off here though, but its given me a bit of a lift due to the last few days I have being feeling numb;) .

Hi Marshallka hun
Well my hubby has 2 credit card complaints in with the FOS right now, they informed us before he had completed the forms by email that he would have to do these separately.
(both lloyds tsb credit cards but different acc numbers).
Hope this helps but maybe make sure with Tiggrae first if you want to double check.;)

Brilliant work.;)
Its always best to make sure and I tend to do this now before accepting the refund.
I did add a calculator on here a few days back but not sure how accurate that is, so at least by adding the breakdown here someone with this experience, Tiggrae etc will check these out for you when they're here.;)

I only sent them in last week. I will perhaps have to ring them about it.
I suppose i should have checked first but they took about 7 weeks to send me copies of my agreements (I Now know why??) so i just wanted to get my claims in as quick as poss.0 -
marshallka wrote: »Good for you then DI. How awful to be made redundant just before Christmas. I am glad things are looking up for you.:D
Yes it was a real bad time......and shocking...... , it was all over the TV, papers and internet, but maybe it was only local news wise.
Luckily though we had finished the boys pressie shopping and most food was sorted, but we did have to cut right back otherwise because the unemployment office did not help for almost a month because xmas got in the way etc, he then found another similar job soon after that.;)
The steel company have now been taken over by a Russian steel business man, and due to reopen as a steel plant once again in due course, where my hubby nicknamed Scooby will hopefully return - he loved it.
Thanks hun.

I think that there should be an online site with a register of GISC members with dates (like the FSA Register) and then a claim place (FOS online claim) whereby ANYONE sold single premium policy can just place a claim themselves and you automatically get your money back from these people that sell them. This would save time with FOS and put the fear of god into these places that continue to sell them and make millions in the process.
Just dreaming:D0 -

Ring them to make sure hun, but yet on mine even though I had complained on my credit card ppi also with lloyds tsb I added information on a recent card too and have not had any come backs from them on this yet and I have also had the letter to confirm its waiting to be passed onto the adjudicator, I think I would have heard by now, but yep give them a ring just to make sure just in case.
Good luck.;)
