Yes I have now cancelled the cover. I had requested cancellation in my original letter so they have cancelled "as of today" (18/06/08) I did not get any disproportional rebate.0 -

aah sorry I was being a bit slow there, this was for an O/Draft protection policy. It was a monthly premium so there was no interest on the monthly amount.0 -

I'm in the same situation if anyone has any ideas? FLA are a waste of time.0 -
marshallka wrote: »Was the being self employed the only reason why you claimed. Was it a front loaded policy also and what were the amounts of the ppi? How long have you had it for? If it was the only reason that you have made a claim then they have answered it with the letter. You needed to have made further complaints if you had any and if you have not then send another letter about it. The main claim is the front loaded policies that are only for 5 years on longer loans. There is talk of them being banned now.0

I have submitted a complaint about PPi on an overdraft with barclays as well, they have written to me and promised a response by 11 jul - i will let you know how i get on - i went into the bank and complained rather loudly (open plan area - lots of other customers around) - they put it through their automated complaints thingy so it won't take as long. I will be on holiday when the response is due (unluss it comes early - not holding my breath).LTSB PPI - £770 ish for dad
LTSB PPI for dad - £1800 for dad
Barclays PPI claim for self-£2204
Dads home insurance - reduced by £200 a year "WE DO NOT LIVE IN FLOOD AREA AND I DON'T SEE WHY WE SHOULD PAY FOR THOSE THAT DO - I WANT TO SPEAK TO YOUR SUPERVISOR"!0 -
the FOS do cover store cards, but you would have to have taken the PPI out after 15.01.05 for them to be able to look at your complaint. Next step, is court action, how long ago was it you took out the card / ppi ?
You've answered a question I was going to ask.
I'm going to go straight down the court route with the wifes debenhams card as it is fro 1996. Plus I'm hoping when a judge sees her evidence and the fact that they don't have any she should win.0 -
