They charge 10% inclusive of VAT.
You have to understand that if you lose that you should be insured. If you win, it will take a slice of what you are due.
Now imagine that they manage to get you 5k awarded and that is then refunded back to your loan but you do not get it, do you have £500 to pay them?
Depending on how big your claim is, you will have to understand that if you win, you necessarily will not get anything back in your pocket to pay them and you will be liable to find the money for them.
I would never recommend anybody use these types of claims companies.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. They said that I tick a box on internet application saying I wanted PPI and they say they have recording of my conversation were the agent said the PPI was optional. so I don't think I have an arguement I know that I was led to believe I had to have it but they say on the recording it is not the case.I have 2 PPI claims all being dealt with by FOS could do with a win. I also have 1 PPI claim with FSCS because company gone bankrupt.
I have claim for bank charges on-hold for 3year
Good-luck all

HELP NEEDED. I was on the forum a couple of days ago and asked for advice on trying to claim back the PPI from GE Money. The Financial Ombudsman Service returned my enquiry forms stating that as GE Money were not members of the General Insurance Standards in 2003 they were unable to help me. Some kind person replied on the forum and said that they thought I would have to take GE to court. I have emailed companies who say that they can fight this for you on a no win no fee basis and wondered if anyone had any feedback on this. The company that I was considering is called jskclaims but obviously don't want to sign anything until I know if this is a reputable firm. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am determined GE Money are not going to get away with this. If possible an email would be greatly appreciated as I get lost looking for posts on this website (it's my age)
Thanks Jill0 -
they would say that wouldn't they !! Write back and ask for a copy of the recording / transcript - also state you believe the internet form was pre-ticked and you DID NOT tick it. When did you take out the loan, if it was after the 15.01.05 take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service
Hi thanks for your help gonne write asking for transcript now. And the loan was taken out on %th April 2005 so will take it ombudsman.
Thanks againI have 2 PPI claims all being dealt with by FOS could do with a win. I also have 1 PPI claim with FSCS because company gone bankrupt.

will they work on a 'no win - no fee basis' - ie will they pay your court fee etc and not ask for that back if you lose. Also are the regulated by the Minstry of Justice ?
Thanks for getting back to me so quick. The forms that I had to download did state that the only fee they will charge is 10% and they gave examples of this. Under their name it also state that they are regulated by the Ministry of Justice. I'm just really apprehensive of signing anything now. Might email them again to ask about court fees.
Thansk again Jill0 -
Hi,
All it is is another stalling trick. What happens is there is a hearing to determine if the judgement is to be put aside. This means that the case is opened up again and then they are given additional time to file a defence (Thats if the judge rules in their favour). The case will be heard in your local court make sure you take along all your documentation relating to how long you've given them already to file the defense and also take along receipts of expense required to attend the hearing including the calculations for a days wage and the cost of the warrant (if issued). They will be given 14 days to defend the case (which they probably won't) and then the judgement will stand with a side order of your expense's.
Thanks again for your good advice, what would we do without you:T :j0 -
