So are you taking this to court now cause it sounds as though FOS are not playing ball
I do not understand what they are saying about the unfair settlement surely that is with the lender not the PPI
I wonder if the rebate is so unfair cause of the money they have paid to the Insurance Provider as commission:rolleyes: Otherwise surely unfair rebate goes back to the Loan Provider not the Insurance Provider
Picture quoted me a settlement figure with a rubbish rebate on the PPI and I would have assumed I complained about them to the FOS ,not the insurance company?!
We need someone in the same boat to come on here tonite was it catinthehat or laine kDS1 12/10/04

I quite agree there are two issues unfair rebate on the PPI which must go back to the Insurance Provider and the unfair rebate on the loan must go back to the Loan ProviderJust know on paperwork I have with other issues there is a huge thing about commission payments and who sold the insurance policy. It should not be the loan provider if they were not regulated to do so. They do not understand the ins and outs of Medical Issues etc all they want to do is sell the PPI so they get a huge big commission to pay for their wonderful holiday abroad:rolleyes:

Of course I telephoned the person and argued it but nothing. They have no sympathy and just keep saying its so unfair on Firstplus.
IN fact it all feels a bit like a dream here. How can they say its not fair on FIRSTPLUS....0 -
Can't wait for tiggraes views on this as she actually claims for a living and they have let hers through this way..0

In fact might have to stay off this site for a while as to tell you the truth I seem to be telling people to go to the FOS with their complaints and I have no faith in them at all. They are a complete waste of time in my eyes and I would not have known this had I have waited in the queue but I asked for the fast track and got it. If that had have been someone else then this could of stopped them making a claim elsewhere. I am going to complain to the complaints system of the Ombudsman here.

So the others complained about Firstplus giving them unfair rebates of PPI when they settled and won and they have told you no. How stupid.
I would send a complaint about the FOS to the FOS.DS1 12/10/04

Well you know my views on FOS I have been told off on here (not by you) for having an opinion on FOS. They do uphold but.............. they seem to have no jurisdiction in getting these people to settle. Mine was upheld in April they paid what they though in July. They missed off one of the loans and tried to pay back minimum as in separate loans less one. When I complained in July that they were not stand alone loans and the refund was not correct it went back to BARCLAYCARD Loans and am still waiting three months later for them to sort it out. Have complained to FOS and am told that as soon as they hear something they will contact me. The lender is rather busy at moment. Hmmmm wonder why. Surely I should be at the top of the queue. They are taking the mickey and I am so angry about it all.
I think most of these rebates through FOS are incorrect. The only one where I got 500 more was A and L and they were pleasant approachable and range to see if all was OK.
So sorry for you Marshallka:embarasse:mad:0 -

Hi folks I'm back.:D
I am still annoyed with this matter Marshallka and whatever you decide to do we are all behind you.;)
I did actually feel physically sick when you first posted about this today, and something is not right about the FOS, the way it was done, all that effort you put in.
Its not been easy for you I know, and the annoying thing about this is you had re-submitted this again, left wondering for weeks what was going on, they did not give you a full response on this, you just wanted a blunt answer, yes or no, then told they were looking at this, and now this.......
Sorry folks if I seem to be a bit edgy:o , I was so mad when I heard Marshallka's news today, she is amazing and have helped thousands win their money back and then gets let down by the FOS after all this messing about over the last few months......:mad:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
