On the basis that Firstplus are not responsible for the unfair rebate issues relating to your PPI policy, it would be inappropriate for me to investigate a complaint against it, and for that reason I will move to close the complaint unless I hear from you with any further comments that you feel would make a significant difference to the outcome by 6 November 2008.

Right then okay, they are not going to close the complaint, and will leave it with them until the 6 Nov, can you try to pursue this then through the insurance provider instead hun ?
I know its hassle but its your money.

I am so so so sorry to hear of this and this one you returned under a new complaint and yet they still go by the date of when the policy was taken and not the date you added on the complaint form ????

Just looked who the insurance was supposedly underwritten by and it was

40% AA Cassidy and others, Syndicate 582 at Lloyds
    35% SCOR UK
    25% Zurich

Who are the actual underwriters here.

Hun get back to the FOS/adjudicator now and tell them you are not letting this one go, and they should be able to tell you who to try like they did with me and hubby. Its going to be one of these, zurich would be the main one I think but hopefully the FOS will tell you this.

I had better be prepared to hear this in mine then, I know mine was Hamilton insurers.

The insurance was underwritten by a "consortium" of insurers

40% AA Cassidy and others, Syndicate 582 at Lloyds
    35% SCOR UK
    25% Zurich

Who are the actual underwriters here. Also there is not an address for any of these.

not sure if they use the same ones now but I will see what I can find out for you as soon as possible, to get the ball rolling here.

Di, I have done and sent the copies of the policy details for her to look through as she said that I need to write to them first. I told her that it was 3 seperate insurance companies and one or two did not exist now and most importantly there was no address on these either. She definately said that they would not be able to look into this under my complaint given. That is for sure.

Also Di, Zurich is smallest amount out of the consortium here and also they are in switzerland too so not under jurisdiction either.
