marshallka wrote: »I had four loans with the co-op. They have offered goodwill on one of them. The lowest PPI:mad: . The adjudicator has now asked the co-op if they want to offer goodwill on the others too as this then does not admit anything and they have not got a red tick against them with the FOS if you know what I mean. If they say "no" then he will have to adjudicate it I assume.
I have had confirmation that all four loans are being looked at on the one complaint though.
The redress they offered was that of full and final like I said a few days ago. Can you remember posting to it??
Fancy they pick the cheapest:rolleyes: I presume if they settle through good will on others it makes them look good:eek: I just hope this is settled for you as you have been messed about enough on all these. One mess up after the other. At least your latest adjudicator seems to be on the case.:D:mad:0 -

Quite agree
Wonder if they were able to sell the insurance or PPI themselves I know on those I have going through at the moment:D the big thing is who sold the insurance and about when I met with the policy Provider. Hmm can't remember meeting them mine were all sold by Lloyds and Health risks were not discussed or considered . On the business complaint we were told to take out a loan instead of increasing the business overdraft. Guess what we also have PPI on the business overdraft:rotfl::rotfl: We were not aware of this. We were given good business and financial advice :mad:0 -

Then if they still deny this, it will be passed on I assume ?
I will not give up on this one, being a homemaker and not told otherwise, only to sign where they marked it without getting the chance to even read the terms and conditions.
Now curious to what the bank have to say.
At the end of the day this was in 2001, sold in the bank, nothing explained.
The adjudicator did say give both sides a chance, although he did not mention to me about sending anything further to back my case......The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I also wonder how they work these loans out too. If you think about it you go give all your details to the bank as to how much you can borrow and often what you wanted to borrow you cannot as to your income and outgoings. Then after you are given the loan they then give you another few grand in the way of a PPI policy and yet they would turn you down for it if you wanted it to add to original loan... but they don''t think like that when the loan is for the PPI??0 -

Thank you hunni.......:D , well I should hear soon, and if this is not upheld again, I don't mind it being looked at again or being passed on, I know I'm in the right here.
Will have to check out others who have been in this position with Lloyds, and see if they had the first response like I did......:rolleyes:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
I have written a letter which I am going to post to theFOS tomorrow, would you mind casting your eyes over it just to give me your opinion please.
Dear Sir
I am writing to you with regard to my complaint against First Plus
reference number 7996999. I had been informed that The Financial Ombudsman
Service would not be in a position to investigate my complaint as it was
taken out prior to 14th January 2005, the date when this particular
insurance company came under the jurisdiction of the FSA.
I have myself investigated this and have found that as First Plus were
under the regulatory control of The General Insurance Standards Council you
do have the jurisdiction to investigate this complaint.
Indeed I have documentary evidence from numerous contacts with examples
where you have investigated this company relating to complaints of
misselling PPI prior to the 14th January 2005.
I would be pleased if my complaint could be reopened as a matter of urgency
as I am concerned that any more delay may have a detrimental affect on my
complaint.
