    Hi barrackwall,

So we can unlock it, the original owner will need to request the code from us.

To find the form they'd need to complete, you'll just need to do a Google search for "Vodafone unlocking code" and then click in the second search result.

    Kind regards,

    Lee

Has anyone encountered such situation, how to get a solution. Phone customer service and was left hanging for 45 mins has to give up in the end. Help Iam pulling my hair out here. Service from O2 rate from lousy to lousier and lousiest.

    Hi,

I am hoping somebody can help me here please. I bought an iPhone 5s for my daughter which is locked to EE. She is on Vodafone so I just wanted to move her over as she is still on contract but her original phone is faulty. I didn't realise that unlocking on EE was going to prove so difficult.

I went into the EE store and they told me it could only be done online. When I went online it looked like only the person that sold me the phone had to do this and so as I knew the person I asked them to try. They also had no luck because EE told them they still had to be in contract to unlock it and they no longer are!

So now I am stuck with this phone that I cannot unlock. I have seen many companies on the web offering unlocking but I am not sure they are reputable. Can anybody share experiences from a good company and recommend any one that is good?

    Thank you in advance!

Only the contract owner can get the unlock code from Apple via the network

There are some code sellers on eBay , look for high feedback sellers

  • Hi,

I've been on a contract with EE T-mobile for 8 months now, and I would like to get my iPhone 5 unlocked from EE so I can use my other sim card. I was told by EE adviser that is not, and he fobbed me of, I am not happy at all.

I read on here to write to the CEO, to escalate my concern and has anybody else done this, and is there a wording I should use, help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time :)

Don't understand what you are saying here, sorry :o

You phone EE and ask them to unlock your iPhone.
They charge you £25 (?) then they drag their heels for about a month and then it gets unlocked.

I *think* that's how it should work. :)
  • I purchased an iPhone5 locked to EE. Was told it would cost £100 to unlock by local phone shop who deal with a lot of unlocking. Found an online site officialiphoneunlock.co.uk[/url] which advertised the service for £19.99. It looked kosher but I didn't read all the small print. Which I think is EXTREMELY SMALL to the point of almost invisible on the payment page. After paying the £19.99, 2 days later got an email saying the balance of £79.99 was due to complete the unlocking. They said in the email it was mentioned 3 times on the payment page before I committed. But I never saw it. I looked everywhere else on the web and couldn't find an alternative so paid the balance. Still waiting for the unlock to happen (initiated on NY eve so probably in the system because of holiday delays - I hope!) I was in the same position as others - the original owner can only get it unlocked while they're still in contract, which obviously they are not once they've sold it. I think it's a real scam on the part of EE. Will let you know how it turns out. Hope I haven't been duped......

The original owner can get it unlocked after the contract finished - if they still are with EE.

If you had done at least some research, then £19.99 would have rung the bell. No chance an iPhone can be unlocked properly that cheap, but I think you can do this for ~£80 through ebay.
