Well companies may have terms and condition but it appears there terms and conditions are only applicable when it suits them.
4.3 While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
No offer just cancellation0 -

They can not renege once payment has been taken and we have satisfied all the conditions.
The payment agreement has been finalised.
Therefore they must deliver.
So you'll be representing yourself in court then, as you seem to be fully conversant with the Contract Laws in operation in this country. Let us know when the court date is, I could do with a laugh.0 -
Have emailed them asking when my refund will come through, pointing out they are making a tidy profit on the interest of our monies, and that there will be more adverse publicity for them if a) they don't sort this now (quick enough to take the money) and b) Have the courtesy to reply to my email
Well it made me feel better!0 -
Not only have I had an email cancelling my order - I got a letter this morning. I'll no doubt get a phone call tomorrow. Oh well!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0

It's greedy b@stards like you that waste these things for everyone. Only an idiot would order a huge consignment of TV's like this and expect not to get rumbled.0 -

I only ordered 1 but why blame somebody for ordering more than 1 ?, it was Argos who screwed up !, it was Argos who have taken our money !, many people are missing the point here, if you bought something in the shop that was mispriced and they took your money, you would consider the item your property, item offered for sale at a price- money taken -deal is done.
Argos have done damn well out of this !, publicity and interest on our money, and apparently not for the first time.:T    :j:money: ! :money: money!!money :A !money!

The point is Vicky, if people had kept their orders to a realistic level then many of the orders may have slipped through without Argos noticing. To bulk order like this just draws attention to the situation and everyone loses.0

It's irrelevant how many people ordered. The fact is money was taken, contract I beleive was formed. I could argue its greedy Argos for taking our money so soon. Just when do you define when a contract is formed?0

Today I received my cancellation e-mail for the telly, at the same time £5.44 was paid from my bank to Argos Retail Group, talk about cheek.
