Me neither - the money came out of my account on 29th August, I received a cancellation e-mail on 31st with a letter arriving two days later and said exactly the same as it did in the e-mail so don't see why they had to waste money by sending a letter but there is still no money refunded to my account.

I had one refund to my debit card yesterday, but still waiting for the other one.

(I placed 2 seperate orders).

just for the record...rang customer service today to enquire when exactly are they gonna refund our monies? she confirmed that on th 1st september all credits were made, it can take 3 - 5 working days to show up on your account! Asked why they still went ahead with the transaction when orders were cancelled, was told the computer systems had a glitch!!

Oh no - they're giving us refunds!! What will we be able to complain about now?

People will be able to complain about the fact that ARGOS have several times been found to be mispricing goods, which is an offense.
They will also be able to complain that effective procedures were not in place to prevent the situation that resulted from the misprice.
They will also be able to complain that ARGOS's on T&C's were not carried through.


That's what they can complain about if they want to.

first (home) base
ie. i still haven't received an email or letter from Homebase telling me my order's null & void... anyone else in this boat?

if i was living in la-la land and hadn't been reading this forum i'd still be waiting on my telly being delivered...

I ordered 2 TV's, one at mine and one at my son's address. They didn't confirm by email. So I assumed that I'd not completed the transaction and forgot it.
Got a letter in the post (along with everyone else), to say they weren't coming, then checked my credit card online, only to find they'd taken out £5.44 X 4times !

Well if it doesn't arrive in 21 days (14 now?) you will be able to write a very unpleasant letter to the CEO and plead total innocence - you've been waiting ages, so pleased to get a Bank Holiday special, always thought Argos was good but really disappointed etc. - you might get some vouchers even? They did this when the TFT screen fiasco happened last year.
