Well, I managed three out of four packed lunches last week, so I guess that's a start (had Friday off work). For the week ahead I'll try to keep up my week one change (packed lunches every day) plus doing half an hour's housework before I go to work each day. If that actually happens I shall be truly amazed.......!

    Well I started yesterday.

    Paperwork:
Worked through letters, bills etc. Paid those needing paying, answered letters, filed away statements, but am left with a few things that I can't deal with until I make a phone call on Monday, plus some photocopying to be done before I can file other stuff away. But I think I can tick that box as I did actually do it..........as far as I could anyway.:T

    Projects:

I said I'd do one project each week (3 to do at the minute)
Have nearly finished painting plant trough that needed alternative use.
It has been a hotspot for 'stuff' so I've given it a re-vamp with some paint, OH has a piece of wood that will sit on top (once I've painted that) and I can hide my brolly, scarves, gloves etc. out of sight and use the top of it as a shelf................currently waiting for paint to dry before I put second lot on, then stick on skeleton leaves.............dark polish and job done........well it will be..................another box will be ticked :T

Have given this lots of thought. I did start off with the best of intentions doing the daily clicks over a year ago. Whilst initially it seemed like a great idea in reality it means I wade through between 150 and 200 e-mails each day.

1200 ipoints equates to £5 odeon cinema voucher. At 10 points per clicked e-mail (not all of them offer points though!) thats 120+ e-mails to open and click on a link. Averaging 1 e-mail per day thats 4 months worth of clicks plus all the resultant e-mails that you get because you've previously clicked on something. In the same time it takes me to wade through all those e-mails each day I can go to the freebie section of the MSE and order a few freebies, most of which come with money off coupons which can be used at Tesco as a discount off my shopping bill. Todays example being a Purina cat food sample and £1 voucher and an Iams measuring cup with £3 voucher. Total £4 in 5 minutes and a lot less time at the PC. No excuse not to do the ironing then!

Challenge of the week is to take all my daily clicks and survey accounts to the payout level, claim the vouchers and terminate my accounts leaving me with just the cashback sites and Global Test Market whose surveys are regular and well paid.

i managed to take a packed lunch every day last week and intend to continue. for next week i hope to get back to walking to work every day (35 mins each way) i hope to save on bus fare and get some exercise ... i used to do this every day but have got out of the habit since i worked out when the bus stopped. i figure that at least if i walk to work and try to walk home, if time is short or i have purchased somthing too heavy to carry home (eg market day is thursday - decent bargin fruit and veg = v. heavy) a bus ticket to get home will be worth it!!

Hi, I'd like to join too please!

My change for this week is to organise the cleaning. I tried to follow the flylady tasks last week, I'm pleased with how I did but think it should get easier as the weeks go on.

So, in order to motivate and organise myself to achieve some cleaning every day (however little) I'm going to [STRIKE]type[/STRIKE] copy and paste out the cleaning jobs and stick them to the inside of one of the kitchen cupboards (OH's idea that bit). That way I only need to know what room to do that day (thanks Pigpen). Also sticking up lists means that OH can contribute whenever he can.

    Thanks for this thread!!

My inbox isn't empty  It was, but now it's full again. I blame a full on weekend where I haven't had time to sort it.

On the bright side, my desk is looking quite tidy!

So for this week my challenge will be:

    Keep inbox empty
    Keep desk tidy

Might not be easy, though - kids are on two week break from school!!

I've noticed a few people want to take on more than ONE thing per week.

This is great, but make sure you don't try to do EVERYTHING and then lose motivation. It's the whole point of the club.

By all means though, make it work for YOU ;)

Have to agree. For this to work, I NEED to keep it simple.

I started last week with my inbox (on my desk) and this week am progressing to my inbox AND desk.

Don't try and do too much at once.

It takes about 28 days to create a habit, doesn't it?? Something like that, anyway. We want these new things to become habits. Not just hit and miss when we think of it

I'm back in this week, my one thing is to follow the Paul McKenna book properly again. I have fallen off the wagon of late so am jumping right back on:D
