  • Following on from the adventure of Birdcam 2008

I have moved to a new dedicated domain to serve this years episode.

This is the new url for frequent updates and I'll try and update this thread with news worthy information!

This is our first real visit of 2009:

Check out the "About Bird-Cam.co.uk" link for details on the bird box build if you missed it from last year.

Really hope that 2009 will be a more sucessful year for us.

What a great idea :T I'll be watching with interest.

I'll add this to the existing Birdcam thread so that people can easily see your pics from last year ;)

  • Have posted a new video, added a guest book and also put up a new article on the life cycle of blue tits.

Visits haven't been very frequent over the last couple of days, I guess they don't like the snow we are having!
  • I have uploaded a new video to to show that the box visits are still happening. Going on last years experience I would expect the pair of tits to visit over the next week.

I've also noticed that the sound isn't working this year so need to have a fiddle to get that back up and running. Anyone recommend a better set of software that will allow me to stream the cam feed to the web to use with a normal web browser??
  • Over the weekend I've had nearly 180 video captures and although no nest has been built we have a bird in there!

Check if they are still in Live Bird Cam Image
  • Lots of activity over the past week with regular visits as they check out the bird box's suitability as a nest for 2009. So far things look positive and here's a picture I managed to snap of the little fella on one of his many visits.

  • Update: Nest Building has begun!

The upload of images and videos died on the 15th and I hadn't spotted it! Upon checking this morning there is nesting material in the nest so will look at grabbing some of the videos and uploading them over the next few days. Here's the current state of play:

I have also created a twitter account as I thought that was quite apt! You can follow us at http://twitter.com/birdcam
  • Anyone following this?

Managed to get the internet back to the server so static photos are being uploaded again every 10 mins http://www.bird-cam.co.uk/live-bird-cam-images
  • Just moving things around a little! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJf3rIahCn0
