Free Race Tickets for Silverstone (merged)

Hi Everyone,
Due to personal circumstances, I gave my 2 free tickets to my Brother in Law and Wife who are both disabled, they just got back and had a fantastic time, Silverstone was very accomodating to their needs, they came home with loads of freebies for my little boy, who loves cars but hates the noise of racing cars-too loud for my 3 year old!!
I was glad they could use them but a little disappointed we couldn't go, as my little boy would have loved the stands and cars on show, but there is always next year! And we have got tickets for the Motorshow in August so that's something to look forward to-and more freebies too...hopefully!
Hope all that went had a good time?!:D
Ps Thanks Juno for the pic!!0 -
Same here, many thanks to the OP. It was a great day out. I'm a tad sunburnt too, was too busy plastering Eleanor in lotion that I didn't put enough on myself!
We'll definitely be going again if it's on at Silverstone again.

My lad had a great time...
although these girls soon stopped smiling when I said it was my turn to sit on their knees.0 -
Ditto us on the sunburn (despite the suncream!) but we had a wonderful day and hubby loved being able to try out the various grandstands that he has not been able to afford tickets for on Grand Prix weekends!
I could see no point in taking folding chairs unless you had a pushchair/wheelchair that would make climbing steps into the grandstands difficult. There were plenty of people but also plenty of grandstand seats to go round and most people seemed to stay for a race/event then move onto another stand to watch the next, so the possibility was always there of bagging great seats.
Like Moosetastic we timed our return to enable hubby to watch the Canadian Grand Prix with a nice cold beer while I made tea...this really should have been Fathers Day, shouldn't it?! :beer:0 -
also had a great day out at silverstone,it was a good access all areas type of day, getting to see almost everywhere you would never get to see on a normal race day.
well done renault....work permit granted!0 -
Made a great weekend of it. Stayed at the campsite next to the track and they put a rock band on Saturday night for free! We didnt go in the stands - choosing one of the grass bankings instead.0

I stayed at the same campsite, was nice to sit around and stuff, but that band butchered a few classics like eric clapton - wonderful tonight! lol
