No worries - everyone is free, you just need a (free) ticket

Hi
Yes, you can. We ate our picnic sat on the grass whilst we watched the cars on the circuit, it was great.
Forgot to say, people seem to come and go regarding seating in the stands, we went up a couple of times to watch from there then came back down for a wander around.0 -
Turns out one of our party can't make it - so there's a ticket going
spare for the Renault World Ticket at Silverstone this weekend. You'd
need to pick it up today. I'm in London (Camden)."Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.0 -

I didn't see anyone handing them out, also we didn't get the little radios like we did last year at Donnington.
I didn't see many freebies although I didn't look too hard, there's a walk through the pits (they only do this at certain times) where the drivers are doing signings, which is good if you collect those.
Got a poster or two and some postcards, 2 packets of Haribo racing car sweets and a couple of colouring books for the kids.0 -
I got sweets as well!!!

We had a FAB time too!
We were given free earplugs from the Renault booths, they also give out posters, stickers, postcards and racing car shaped haribos! There is one by the sports Renault section and another by the Family Renault section. Look for the queues of eager people. Don't forget to enter the competition to win 2 pairs of Silverstone F1 tickets, there were hardly any entries, so hopefully one of us will win them.
You can buy ear plugs from the Renault Merchandise stands, they are about a few pounds and one family told me that they had brought a pair of childrens ear protectors from another stand (don't know which one - sorry) for £14 (bit pricey but the children looked really happy wearing them).
Day brilliant, we got there at 8.45am no queues and left about 3.45pm no queues -hurrah and to top it all there was a Spitfire flying display.
Have fun tomorrow
