i have an O2 PAYG sim, would I still need to unlock the iphone to use it?

Yes, my understanding is that you need to unlock it for use with anything other than the sim it came with, regardless of network. This is because the phone's features will only work if activated using the original sim, or if unlocked or jailbreaked using either of the two methods descibed above in post 137. At least that's my user understanding - I'm no expert.

Its gone out of stock at many CPW & O2 stores in London. zzzzz ... Looks like they wanted to clear this huge stock as per one CPW sales guy. is it for arrival of 3G iPhone or any new stuff?

No not at all most likely, just how simple marketing is done do keep consumer interests and milk a product to the max

Apple probally have one of the best marketing techniques imo out there!

You can't use "3" sims on the iphone

I unlocked my iphone (I brought from Apple)and today received an email saying I havent activated it - has anyone else ordered one & received an emial?

I am hoping that this is a standard email and they will go away.

Anyone else?
