Which news and has it been reported anywhere else? maybe when facing bad publicity we will get something. I doubt we will get the tv's (fingers crossed though) but a few good will vouchers would be great as we get something for nothing

I ordered one last night and payment has came out of my account and I have also recieved a confirmation e mail .. has anyone tried to phone them querying delivery date etc to see if they are actually going to deliver0

if they didnt send the TV's (and they took money off people) all they would have to do is give people their money back.
If the law states that once money has changed hands then the contract is complete the court would have no jurisdiction I would have thought to say otherwise . It wouldn't matter whether Argos/Homebase argued the T&C's , they would have to provide the TV's at the cost that they took the money for unless they filed for liquidation in order to stop themselves having to supply . ( I only assume this so would be happy to be corrected ) If you think about it the cost to actually supply at a loss would come to £100,000's , probably the annual salary of one of their directors .0 -

'spinning yarns' equates to lying and i guess that is not what I am about ...nor the ethos of mse at all
Yes Sarah, i too posted in 'fun' too. As for the spinning yarns, i was joking. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I ordered 1 package yesterday , got the e-mail , had money taken so am currently awaiting the company's next move . I don't expect any TV to be honoured but await to be surprised .0

I got my order in this time, having just missed it on the Argos site.
I can see this being a huge issue in the coming weeks email from Martin.
My fingers are crossed...well, maybe really they're not.0 -
I don't think this would put ARG out of business - would only be max £30m loss if 10,000 orders. Biggest problem would be that there probably aren't that many of these TVs in the world let alone the UK!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Has their been any input from Martin on this, because I really want some insight into the legal aspect of this - especially once the money has been taken.
I think I know, I have the same view as everyone else. I just don't know whether we have an rights in law in this situation.0 -
I'm sure Bush would be happy to put their factories on overtime to get the orders out,if you didn't mind waiting, I assumed since lcd and plasma were taking over this was a genuine offer to get rid of surplus stock!!!
You would have thought that their system would have stopped taking orders when their stock was depleted though. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0
