Had my Argos one too, nothing from Homebase.

Still don't know if they can just refund me, had to stop all my credit cards today as I was sent new ones and never had them and one was activated?

One good thing came out of this deal because I only found out by phoning up to ask if funds had been taken.

I refer to your order for the above product and thank you for placing an order with Argos.co.uk

Unfortunately there were was an accidental error on the price shown on our website for this product during 27th August causing the product to be advertised for £0.49 rather than the correct price of £349.99. We have therefore had to reject all orders placed at the incorrect price in accordance with Condition 2.3 of our Website terms and conditions and with regret we cannot accept your order.

There should still be quite a bit of mileage left in this c@ck-up of theirs. :j :j :j

a quick search on google shows that this has happened before Argos sold Sony Tv's for £3 instead of £299

Argos claimed that they should not have to honour this price on essentially two grounds:

The price was clearly a mistake. The courts can declare a contract void if the seller has made a genuine mistake. This argument was unlikely to be successful, as all sorts of bizarre offers are available on the net. Recently bol.com gave 20,000 books at a cost of more than £100,000 for nothing.

On the website Argos was merely making “an invitation to treat”. In other words, the purchaser made the offer and then it was then up to Argos whether or not to accept that offer. Argos (not surprisingly) chose not to accept that offer.

but if this time they have taken our money SURELY this is acceptance. c'mon Martin please check this out for us!!!!

Just got the cancellation email from Argos. Interestingly I've also had £5.44 deducted from my bank account by Homebase for the one I ordered there and I haven't had the cancellation email from them!
