Well, that's all the sunlounge and back hallway stripped now. I've sanded the sunlounge (which will be the new study) and need to do the hall before [STRIKE]we[/STRIKE] I start painting. The only bits not stripped are behind the aquarium and the radiator, but I'll get my DB to take rad off for me, so I can do that. And I'll do one wall, move the fishies and do their wall then move them back.
I put an ad on Freecycle for any magnolia or white paint to use as base coat as there's yucky pink underneath. I had a call from someone offering some and saying they'd deliver - and I hadn't even put my phone number! :eek: It was my brother!:rotfl:He said "Why didn't you tell me you needed paint? We've got loads!"
Anyway, anyone else reckon it's Lunchtime??? :TDMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

LOL Pink Fairy.. I have my sister coming round for paint.. we have loads too!!
DD3 (7.5) has just had a slap.. she was hitting Tiddles round the head with a toy pushchair.. :eek:.. and poor Tiddles was just sitting there minding her own business.. she is now dressed and set to cleaning the kitchen floor.. little cow.. I really don't like her sometimes! Is there really any need to be such a !!!!!! to your little sister? She still has the floor in the middle room to sand.. she can do that next.. I also told her I am telling her teacher how horrible she has been.. BIG BIG threat there!
I really need some new bras.. this one is killing me.. they are all going for silly money on ebay though.. I'll go see what is inthe shop round the corner after dropping Tiddles at nursery on Monday.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Pigpen - do you ever wonder if people like you and I end up with the demic animals because someone knows that we're going to look after them whatever. Out of our last three cats one had pelvic cancer, one had a brain haemorrage and the other was diabetic. Two of those cats were brothers and both had back legs that used to dislocate on a regular basis. Our current dog has colitus and one of our guinea pigs had extra toes that had to be surgically removed. Our current cat has itchy itis which can't be controlled bless her - we just have to scratch her a lot - and no teeth as she was a stray and had been badly looked after before that. They all cost a fortune but we loved and love them dearly.
If you don't get the rabbits neutered won't they fight?
So far today i've emptied two boxes and two fill binbags from the attic. Oh my goodness talk about keeping rubbish...why oh why oh why did I keep;
- thomas the tank engine magazines (mostly ripped and scribbled in)
- one half of a baby monitor
- broken picture frames
- clothes with holes in them
- broken toys
- two aerobic steps
You name it, we have it. I've managed to sort out one box of stuff for car booting and anything left after the car boot goes to a charity shop. Everything else has gone in the bin.
DH has estimated there is about 70 boxes in the attic and i'm going to get it down to one box with stuff in that I don't want to actually have in the house but maybe it has emotional attachment and i'll keep stuff like camping gear and christmas stuff. Everything else goes!!!
The good thing is i've found all my own cassette tapes - some of the bands I used to listen to gave me a good laugh and i've have given some to dd to listen to. The rest are going to charity as through the years i've bought most of my favourite bands on CD.
DH has gone to the allotment - I tried to get some more boxes down but my wrist hurt too much so i'll wait until he gets home. Think i'll do my accounts now. So my list on top of everything else this week is;
- [STRIKE]accounts for July[/STRIKE]
- accounts for August
- accounts for September
- accounts for October
- accounts for November
- accounts for December
- accounts for January
- accounts for February
- accounts for March
Ok, time to get on xx0 -
Right i'm off to try and cross some more off my list before LO wakes up from his nap.
Ds1 is listening to some awful music in his room, it's just noise. He's only just 11 what have i yet to come?0 -
Holly.. you get used to it and find yourself listening to it when they aren't home..
Mudbath.. I think they do gravitate to those who will love them no matter what.. my mother has a dog with epilepsy, she rescued a cat from the road after it was hit by a car, noone ever claimed him, she has a dog with extreme tooth problems.. he has really acidic saliva so his teeth and mouth have a coating of plague that has to be surgically removed so she also has to brush his teeth regularly. One of my cats had a massive infection in his shoulder which cost almost £400 to put right.. we could have got 2 dozen cats for that!! But we loved him!! I think needy people gravitate to the givers as well.. I seem to attract needy people who are really very strong and I make them strong and self reliant lol.. then they move on..
I've found the sofa in the back room.. need to scrub it down next.. I have takers for my 2 carriers of stuff on freecycle and I've filled a bag of rubbish and put some stuff in the paper recycling.. I am starving now though..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Why has someone contacted me on freecycle asking for the maternity clothes and she isnt even pregnant yet.. most of them are summer things so they'd be no use anyway.. idiot..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Pigpen - would you consider DD rental for sanding purposes?
Mudbath - My DS can dislocate his shoulders to order. :eek:Common symptom of CFS/ME is apparently hypermobility!!! I have warned him not to keep doing it as I'm concerned it'll weaken the joints.Ds1 is listening to some awful music in his room, it's just noise. He's only just 11 what have I yet to come?
