Morning - is it really only 8am already - i am poopered despite being in bed for 10ish last night. DH woke me up at 6 when he got up for work, and i have a solo morning with DS, who so far is being brill and happy cleaning with a baby wipe. I am not complaining, i am training him for his future wife.
chunky the DVDs my Ds watches are usually Barney (addiction created by nursery i am afraid, and not one i personally would have chosen) and a baby sign language DVD http://www.mybabycantalk.com/ which shows short clips of the object being signed, and has classical music and i don't find as bad. He is usually sat somewhere, sometimes with me, and we watch together, or if i am desperate to get something done he will sit by himself for a bit at the start of it.
my only plans today are to survive, and to wash my hair. I think it might be a long week of entertaining DS when i am so out of practice. Plan for tomorrow is to go visit my sister and her little boy to play there, then nursery on tuesday, and then they will visit us on wednesday and then i can pop out for a midwife appointment.
thanks for the article link lil-me. You lot are certainly a fountain of knowledge on every query or know a man who can.
Right - getting dressed time i think.

Morning all.
Am all snotty this morning - bet it's from all the dust from the front room! Weather is still looking horrible and murky so I'm not sure what I'll do with the day. I do need to go to Tesco and get some food. Maybe I'll jump in the bath now and go early.
Then, either gloss the woodwork in the kitchen if the rain looks like it will hold off or start the scrubbing of the floor boards in the living room. I also need to put a couple of bits more up on ebay.
Vanilla - hope DS gets better soon. I know what you mean about breakfast! I totally forgot to put the BM on yesterday so there's no bread left. The quick loaf is two hours so I guess if I to Mr T early, it can be cooking whilst I'm there..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning all. Managed to get my butt in gear and do some flying yesterday. I've still got the bathroom to do today.
(I) the toohfairy forgot to visit my DS last night so he was not best pleased when he woke up. I told him to put the tooth in a little pot so she could find it easier tonight:rolleyes: . It's costing me a fortune between the two of them at the mo. They seem to be loosing two teeth a week.
DS cheek is still red and rashy this morning and the patch looks a bit bigger if anything.
I got the chemist to have a look but he just said it looked like a reaction to something (well duh!) and to treat it with E45 and antihistamine if it's bothering him.
The only thing I have changed recently is using Ecover washing powder. But I would have thought that it would less likely to cause problems than normal biological.
~His skin looks generally drier than normal all over. (He usually has really soft skin) but not red and angry like his cheek.
Someone mentioned earlier (sorry looked back for name and couldn't find it again) slapped cheek syndrome. I didn't realise that this was also called Parvovirus B19. Our local health authority recently sent a letter around the schools about this and some other viruses, as than are seeing more cases than normal at present. Maybe a trip to the dcos tomorrow would be wise I think.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
DS2 now up and the shop finally open:j , it wasn't even the closest shop that was open but the next. The clostest one is suppose to stay open until 10 but i've seen at night going down at half nine and it's closed.
Thanks for the get well soons, he seems abit brighter now, not sure weather to try him with food yet, he's on flat coke now.
Now need to get DD ready for sunday school.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

Arms length hugs for the poorly ones. prettypennies is your DS having enough to drink? Lack of fluids might be cause of dry skin, just a thought.
Well did anyone brave IKEA yesterday? And if so was it worth it?Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Morning all
Finally I did something! Yesterday I did 10 loads of washing (and most of it I am definitely NOT ironing) and the 11th has been done this morning. I can now see the bottom of the bin.
I also did the middle floor of the house (apart from the room known as the bin!) and only have to hoover the spare room ready for the french student on Monday (plus scrub a suspect patch on the carpet, to doogie). Then I have the whole of the downstairs to do before 12 o clock so that I can then shower and get ready for work. Its going to be a long session this afternoon, usually I can get away with only going in for a couple of hours but today I have to be there for at least 5 - still thats 10 hours pay to stash into the saving account (well chuffed with that as managed to stash £1750 since 17th March but it does include 1000 from my dear departed nanny :A ) Must remember to wash off the mould and mildew spray before I get in the shower tho :rotfl: .
DD is up and hopefully in a better mood today - told me yesterday she only takes parental advice from Daddy so she got bog all from me yesterday including no food. He had to cook her tea at 8 o clock when he came in from work.
I havent of course caught up with the thread so hope everyone is ok - any news from Johanne yet?
I will do better this week in both flying and catching up with everyone, so off to fly now,
til later xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
