Didn't end up going swimming as DH had a headache so decided he didn't want to go! So two stroppy kids to deal with.

Been out and bought a new TV from Mr Ts as the volume control had stopped working on the old one.

So all I've done today is a couple of loads of washing.

I'm going to make a start now though.

Glad to see it is fling fling fling ladies - freecycle is just amazing and chairty shops, ebay, nearly new sales we are saving the planet and the economy single handedly!

FLYLADIES YOU ARE ALL GREAT SO SAYS MY FIREMAN! forgot to tell you there was a fire roadshow thing outside footie yesterday so DS3 and I went in. Fireman was really impressed that I test the smoke alarms every week and that I had 3 all in the correct places. He said most people don't check the batteries so keep it up ladies and those of your who strike it but don't do it - DO IT!!

I have Tiddles vacuuming now.. lol

pigpen, she probably sees it as forward planning (either that or wants to sell them) Big hugs for your sis and you it must be worrying. I am sure the vet will be able to advise what would be best, if the girls done and you don't get another girl maybe not worth the possible risk. I don't think I would get a pet from any larger/pet shop breeder as my friend has been through hell with a bunny and a cat she got from a pet shop, the cat only lived for about 8 months. If the pet shop is behaving irresponsibly it might be worth contacting the RSPCA we did when we ended up with a critically ill water dragon, I took him to try to make him better, herpatologist we know gave him IV fluids and everything to try and bring him back but he died by the next day. The RSPCA followed my partner in (plain clothed) they gave my partner a refund then dumped him in a bin :( o the RSPCA then said 'I'll take that please' showing his ID, I think they were checked very strictly after that and continue to be. GET THOSE FIRE ALARMS UP!!! Reason to follow.

Dusty I am pleased the fireman approved. I added it to the list after my friend lost her neice in a fire. They did have alarms at their house but they'd took the battery out as it kept going off when cooking, and the 'what if' factor of 'what if they did' made me so upset, she might be still here now if they'd only put them back in. The fire service in some areas offer free fitting of alarms and a safety check which we had done in the last house, we haven't had it done here but do have alarms fitted which I test when cooking :o aswell as weekly. They fitted alarms with 10 year batteries that you can't switch off, might give them a call about doing the ones here as the ones we have seem to be eating batteries.

Pink Fairy, your partner sounds like mine in a way, the helpful, considerate person who does anything for anyone APART FROM AT HOME! Oh yes he promises/has big plans etc aswell then nothing gets done because there is always something else to do for someone else. ((big hugs)) if only I lived closer I'd have come to help because I so know what that is like. I unfortunately get roped into helping aswell like this week I have to find a burger van for an event he's running next weekend, talk about short notice! Well done to your brother for offering the paint :rotfl: I ended up giving loads of my freecycle stuff to neighbours when we moved. Oh and tell your DS to stop it, my friend damaged a nerves in his after doing it 'to order' at the pub.

Oh that ended in a bit of a rant about 2 things didn't it :o Oh well. Right well my internet decided to play up after I posted so didn't get round to doing my list, instead decided to get on with it! I've now done a tray bake of chocolate brownies (will pot up part of for DS1s lunches when cooled), 2 dozen cookies (ok well there isn't that many left :o) and 12 mini muffins.

Ok time to look at the weekend list and see what I can get done because I am working doing bits of this and that and seem to be getting nowhere! Deleted 5 because we don't have any frames, still :o and 8 (plus part of 3) for obviously health reasons!

    1. Work to level 3 in the messiest room- conservatory/study, eeek!
    2. Meal plan
    3. Make sure those school and work things are washed for next week
    4. Update financial spreadsheets/accounts.. if you have none to do.. DO SOME FILING.. all that paperwork HAS a home!!
    6. Change any bedding that needs it, or you missed through the week
    7. Wash pet bedding/clean cages/tanks etc
    9. Binbag dance
    10. Wash any windows that really need it - that'll be all of them then

Ok you have spy cameras and smellavision from my house, can you smell Sonic from there? Can you see the 'greenness' of the fish tank? Can you see my paperwork piles, windows and the state of the conservatory? Hmmm, ok where do I start, meal plan I think, I've made a start but need to edit a little, I need to work out what I need for pack ups and lunches aswell (apart from what I just baked) DS2s on dinners next week, his choice, so be a mishmash of meals I think.

DS1s out with DP, his way of making up for not spending enough time with him is to drag him along to where he wants to go, hmmm, suppose it's a start, he might realise DS1 might be hard work but does like spending time with him as he usually takes DS2 if anything. D2 likes helping in the kitchen so he WAS happy to stay, he might not be once I tell him we're doing his room after he has some time on the PS3 game.....
One day I might be more organised...........

I wouldn't have given her them either, she's probably got a house full of 'for when I get pregnant' clutter. Ooooo fried egg on toast, mmmm, might join you with that, I've dragged some cooked beef and chicken out for dinner (left overs from roasts so we're being posh and having 2 meats :D ) but that's not for ages. Bum how late can I change my Tesco delivery order for tomorrow? It's for 9-11pm...just I want to finish these meal plans and cupboard checks first.

Yeahhhh! I've just done July. August here I come!! You know, it's pathetic but I hate doing my accounts with a passion even though it's easy as i've been organised this year. Anyway, doing it month by month and then telling you guys makes it so much easier to do:rotfl: . I guess that's why the whole flylady thread works though - lots of people who know how hard we (sometimes) work and makes it feel it's a bit less of a thankless task.

So, thank you to all of you - I know, I know, I need to get a life:D .

I'd second Lil-me's advice about getting smoke alarms fitted. The last place you want one, actually, is the kitchen. I went on a Fire Service seminar about 18 months ago and as a 'reward' for attending, I got the free fire safety check. They turned up in the fire engine outside and three of them came in, had a good look round and then fitted three of the 10 year life ones for me for free.

The places they chose were the utility area (because of the electricals in there), the main hallway and the side hallway.

They really do save lives. Only a couple of weeks ago, someone round the corner from here died from smoke inhalation because of a faulty heater which set something smouldering. He wasn't found for days because the fire wasn't bad enough to be visible from outside - and then he was only found because someone reported him missing. If he'd had a smoke detector, he'd be alive today.

Right, one internal window frame has been glossed and am about to go and do the skirting board on that wall of the kitchen...
