Pigpen, I won't stop nagging either!!!

soappie we don't have one in the kitchen but my cooking sometimes is so bad that it gets through to the hall way in no time :rotfl: I never thought about the utility, but then that's next to the kitchen with no closable door, I possibly should have one where woody's tank is because of all his thermos, heater, lamps etc I did consider the garage as DP has all his gadgets and chargers in there plus my FF and TD. Suppose the not being able to decide sort of decides it, I should really ask them to call out to do a check.

Tesco site won't load my order, booooo!!!! I need to edit it :( before it's too late.

    Afternoon all

Two loads of washing done, it was hung round indoors but it's brightened up now and is a bit breezy so I've hung most of it out on the line.

Roast dinner cooked, eaten and cleared away.

DD asleep upstairs, DH asleep in the living room with one cat on his lap, the other cat asleep on the settee and the dog squished up into a little ball asleep on the footstool (she's too big really but she won't share the settee with the cat!). It's all fun and excitement here.

I'm glad this week is over. New neighbour reversed into our garden wall on Thursday night and knocked it half down. Work was a bit crap. And I had some bad news yesterday.

    Onwards and upwards.

All this talk of smoke alarms has got me thinking. We have one in the hall and one on the landing which we test regular. However, I like soappie's idea of one in the utility room. Our last washing machine did catch fire but I was lucky enough (I think) to be in the next room so smelt it immediately. I'm going to buy a smoke alarm this week to put up in the utility room.

August done - going to start September xx

Skirting board done. Now to tackle the doorway and door. After that I'll emulsion that wall. I think I'll only get that long wall done today but hey, it's a start.

Tomorrow's weather forecast isn't too bad so I think I shall prep the window frames this evening and move everything so that I can start painting at first light (well, almost first light!) so the frames are dry enough to close later in the evening.

    ((hugs)) for Pollybear

Mudbath, the fire peeps said to me not to put the washer on overnight because it might catch fire, at first I thought don't be silly but then makes sense with the going round fast then having to stop etc, makes you think twice doesn't it. I had a timer on mine (which is in the garage as using the one that was in the house) and stopped using that and don't put a load in before bed any more.

I'm in a bit of a mood. Me and DH had a bit of a row, which we don't normally do. About work as usual. and them p taking.

He went to Canterbury on Friday, ended up too tired to drive so going via his mums to sleep for the night. Texted me at 1:15am to let me know he got there safe. Left their house at 8, went to work from there, rang to tell me he would be home for 12ish, which was actually after 2. He then was up at 6am this morning to go to work, got back 12 ish, then someone on the phone again just after 1, and he is back out again to meet someone to let them rent some equipment. I've had a tearful emotional strop, and as we were about to eat dinner, barely eaten anything because i was so upset.

Just me or completely unreasonable after all the stress of last weekend and the wedding.

Again, another DH who will not say no to other people but quite happy to leave me tearful.

He's took DS with him to let me have a break, but missed the point completely that we are both knackered, and if we don't have a rest and spend some quality family time together now, then the baby will be here and it won't happen. I am fed up of feeling like 2nd fiddle.

OK - going to stop whinging now cos it is making me cry. And it is silly compared to some people's problems.

Defective pets - can relate to that one too seems though our two have kidney complaints, and one i am sure is brain damaged as he is so stupid and i am sure that is why he hurt his leg when a kitten. They cost us an absolute bomb in the hills prescription food, which they need for life.

Right, feel sick now as i forced down half a packet of bourbon creams, and on that note, i am going to go and wash my hair and get in the bath. MAybe that will distract/destress me, and if not, it needs doing and might as well be done.

    MEN!!!!!

((hugs)) oh Michelle, you have one too, so wait a minute, does that mean all these superstar men (according to others) are useless at home? Oh well at least we're not alone! You're not being unreasonable Michelle, it' not silly, I'd be the same, in fact if my partners taxi haddn't broken down at 2.30am he'd have been at work today and tomorrow and I'd have been saying the same thing! Ok he'll earn less but him being tired so he can make more money (which would be spent on his extras as that's the agreement we have) isn't worth it to me. He works in entertainments installations doesn't he? I remember that being very stressful when my partner did it, I was a DJ for them but he was the only other S&L engineer apart from his boss that worked full time, others were as and when needed, he was put on a lot, some events he'd work 3 days solid without sleep, he owed him over 200 hours overtime pay when he left, DP gave up trying to get it back.

Pigpen, did you enjoy your egg and toast? Mine was lovely, have had to stop myself making some more or I won't be able to eat my dinner :o

the joke is he is supposed to be the office manager now, and only work mon-fri on a salary, so no extra pay. And if like when i had DS, worked for about 6 hours of my labour at home, including a work meeting with one of them coming to the house for nearly an hour, and then leaving me at the hospital and going to work, then when he got back to work found loads of people had been slagging him off for leaving them in the lurch.

It is apparently a 'bad' weekend. Well matey, it is going to get a whole lot worse if you don't put your 81/2 month pregnant wife in 1st place, because i will become even more stroppy.

If i wasn't so blooming big and knackered, i wouldn't be as stressed with him per se, i just think it well out of order when other people live closer, and could pop and do it in 1/3 of the time, and he still gets the phone calls.

Right - definitely getting in that bath before they come back. Want to calm down before he gets back as i don't want to spend the rest of the day arguing over something i can't change.

Michelle - it must be so frustrating, get off the computer and go and have that bath in peace.

Feeling much better but still a bit chesty, managed my first run in three weeks last night - thanks for asking DustyKitten and Cha97Michelle.

Busy with DIY here, stripped the horrid blue paint from the DR door, now waxed pine. Looks tons better.

    Ironing tonight, woo hoo.......
