Pigpen......Holy !!!!!! thought 2 of my births were bad you make mine sound like text book labours. :rotfl: I must admit the 4th put me off weighing in at 9lb7oz and getting stuck along the way, having my legs round my ears laid flat on my back is not what i envisaged for that labour:o . I should have had a section too, it was all booked for the 5th october got to hospital all gowned up, had my scan and the little sod had turned i believe it was in the early hours of morning, i felt him turn them he got hiccups down there not in my ribs.....

Where do live Pigpen i got a spare buggy hardly used too, mamas and papas something or other, nowt too flash its black and grey? Heres the link to it, no accesories though only a rain cover. Dunt want out for it, its sat in the lobby never getting used.

:TSoapie Fab news on the contract extension!:T

Johanne have you got a foot spa apparently very good, i used one with ds#2 and i started that night but i also cut the lawns that day too, so not sure what helped him along the way.

  • lil_me - I'm really cross about the Apprentice. They seem to be a horrible lot, dont they? I'll still watch it, but I really didnt want Simon to be fired. That Claire is such a nasty piece of work, Alex is a back stabber, Lucinda is a drip, grrr I could go on all night. I think my local radio station was going to back Lucinda cos she lives in Edinburgh. Big fat hairy deal!

Jill - reporting in a 2.5 lbs weight loss tonight. I lost 1.5 lbs last week, so that makes 6.5 lbs in total, yay :j Interestingly, I've lost 2 inches of my waist.

SSL well done, will be weighing myself tomorrow, expecting to have put on because I've been eating badly due to being so busy. Must get my head round the studying and home stuff lark, struggling with the balance.

Johanne those flowers are lovely! Aww bless him. Keep the water topped up incase you go into labour, don't want to come back to dried up flowers if you have to go sharpish. I might have to hint tomorrow that mine are nearly dead that DPs step mam bought me, I even had to buy a new vase for them as I gave mine away when we moved :o they were sat in a coffee jar for 2 days.

Right, kitchen now clean and tidy, washer been on (dog still crying all the way through) that lots on airers, tidied some of the living room and that's it for tonight as my back is still going crackers since I fell down the stairs.

Good night everyone, might not get chance to pop in in the morning so hope you all have a lovely day x
One day I might be more organised...........

Just having a quick catch up. Spent over 4(!) hours on an e-mail to OH.

SSL, Lil_me - also sad to see Simon go on The Apprentice - you get nothing on there for being a good guy and hardworker. Actually need to watch the first half still with the sound on - was on the phone.

Well done to all those with their weight losses.

Johanne - hope your baby can read your mind and adheres to plan! Best wishes

Pigpen et al - going to bookmark these last couple of pages with all the birth horror stories then I won't feel so bad about no children!

Well must do some cleaning/tidying tomorrow. Refuse to call the washing machine repairman until the rooms he will see are OK and I only have so many clothes - I'm on a deadline so now it will get done. I know he will not check out the tops of the kitchen wall cupboards but that job is still on my kitchen list so a miracle may yet occur.

Better watch out for the HHCs tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board

    Morning all,

Slept very well last night. Might have been due to the new mattress, the physical work yesterday or the champagne, or a cominbation of all three! Whatever it was, I'm grateful! Am a bit achy from going up and down the ladder. Also have a sore eye. I managed to drop a big blob of paint in it yesterday when doing the ceiling. I washed it all out straight away but it's still complaining a little. Moral of that tale is to wear safety glasses when doing the ceiling!

Johanne, the flowers from OH were a lovely touch I thought! And I hope the babe holds until the end of the funeral for you. Though if it came today, OH would still be able go tomorrow?

Right, my spring clean list updated (I've removed those things I've already done). Kitchen painting is next on the list once the utility area is finished. I've decided not to do the ceiling in there just yet because I'm planning on changing the fluorescent strip light for something else which means the ceiling may have to be re-artexed a touch to cover where the old light went so it's pointless painting that until the lighting sorted.

    BEDROOM
    • Sort out makeup bag - chuck out stuff not used for years
    • Sort out jewellery bag - ebay anything not worn for years
    • go to tip with mattress Haven't dont this yet, though it is in the car. I decided something from the utility area needed to go to the tip too but was sensible enough to realise it was too heavy for me to move out from it's position so waited until DS got in from work and he has moved it to the car for me. The tip will be visited tomorrow now.
    UTILITY AREA
    • Paint walls
    • Sort out carrier bag store
    • Clean bookcase and books
    • Clean floor
    • When floor dry, put everything back neatly
    KITCHEN
    • Clean woodwork
    • Paint woodwork
    • Remove everything from tops of cupboards and clean (i have a collection of teapots and old dishes etc. on the tops)
    • Clean tops of cupboards
    • Clean outside of cupboards
    • Clean walls
    • Paint walls
    • Put china back on tops of cupboards
    • Empty cupboards, clean them, fill them again.
    • Finally - clean kitchen floor
