So gas/leccy bill is going from £31 to £61 a month!! Why didnt they just go the whole bloody hog and charge me the extra £1 so i could say they actually doubled it!

Think its time to switch... *trundles off to compare*

Compared online using annual consumption figures now ive had a years worth of bills.. Apparently i can save £188 a year switching. :) Went through quidco so *should* get £40 cashback too :D

Still paying £60 a month like... but according to my annual usage figures when i put them into all the comparison sites my Direct Debits wouldnt cover my usage ANYWAY with BG...... even at the new higher amount   Id still be about £200+ short a year! :o

I have cut down on my usage anyway now since a hefty bill back in jan.. and plan to be even more energy efficient this winter as house will be more sorted and less like a draughty building site as it had been last 12 months

Might have to take up knitting tho - keep us all in warm jumpers and wooly hats :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyone up for a HHC - 11.15-11.45? I really need to get some of this paperwork filed but my fingers are freezing and going numb  Off to put the fire on and see if that helps, a hot drink didn't

Well it turned into an hour BUT I've got most of the loose papers filed. Got more to go but I was thirsty and hungry and cold so having lunch until 12.30 then I'll crack on again. I really want to get all these papers filed chronologically and in their right places but its taking longer than I thought! I will get there though, I need to have it done ASAP as I start my OU course in 17 days and I have my interview for my teaching course just 6 days later  Which reminds me I need to get ebay stuff sorted and listed as well THIS WEEK!

    Right, more filing.....

All the washing was dry, so it's been folded and put away (and the cushion covers put back on). I love it when the washing dries quick and you can get it put away.

Ok,dd2 deposited in bed, dd1 deposited in front of High School Musical 2. Back from doctors now and they think dd2 will be poorly for the next few days but will be ok. She suggested giving her soft things to eat like porridge or weetabix - but I don't think its a good idea to give her any dairy at all. So have given her readybrek made up with water and a bit of stewed apple I had in the fridge to make it taste better. She wolfed it down but then cried for 10 minutes then crashed out on me. Hopefully she's started to improve a bit.

DD1 in need of more paracetemol and some cuddles so won't be flying until a bit later. Only completed kitchen list this week with dd2 being poorly but the rest of the house isn't too bad - just need a good hour then will have caught up. Paperwork challenge not happening though - there's just too much.

Can I make a request pigpen - can you put a file 10 things away task each day on the list next week? I might then start getting through it then.

Oh, and while we're on birth stories - with dd2 my waters broke with gush - all over dh's hands, arms, feet whilst he was trying to hold a monitor on my tummy. :rotfl: :rotfl: Good job he'd moved back a bit about 2 seconds earlier or it would have gone on his face! Now that would have been funny!!!

    Afternoon all

Didn't manage to post yesterday, started so many posts but never managed to finish them. So hugs all round! And arms length arms to all the poorly kiddies.

Birth stories - mine was all quite boring really, nice and quick, went in a 7 and he was born at 12, gas and air although they wouldn't let me have it while pushing. My waters never broke either, in fact they made me push most of the 'bag' out, then popped them, DS shot out and I didn't need any stiches because of doing it that way. I did however lose my vision for about 36 hours an hour after having him which was scary! And I did have a really carp pregnancy

Did a massive clean downstairs yesterday afternoon/evening, proper spring clean, looks so much better. Just finishing lunch and then hoover upstairs (did bathrooms this morning) and some ironing to do, need to have a shower too as I stink!

DS dropped off at my mums so been to the gym for an hour and Tescos but managed to forget the two most important bits I wanted so have to call in later when we do the school run.

Right, an hour and half before collecting DS so better get on and then I can have a brew before I leave.
Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

    Baby on board!:D

i am shattered. Totally overdone it avoiding hitting my trolley into pensioners at morrisons. Honestly, some of them are pig ignorant. I am sure they could have got out of my way a lot easier with their empty trolleys than i could with my full one. I think the trolley was hiding the bump. £100 worth of food/cleaning stuff in the cupboards. £35 worth of petrol in the car. Think we may be topped up enough now for me to go into labour. The fridge and freezer are both full. :D

Had to buy more food than usual too as DS will be at home 6/7 days for 3 meals a day instead of 2/7, so a lot more things for the freezer for him to help cover when i am feeling too knackered to cook for just him, and i will try and cook us blander stuff that he will eat.

MFI finally got in touch - the missing piece won't be delivered till the 1st of May at the earliest. That is absolute rubbish when we ordered it on the 22nd of January. My due date is the 7th of May - i am not stressing - what will be will be, and they can have a very snotty letter later.

Salad in a pitta bread for lunch. I am supposed to be ironing but i don't know if my back will take it. Might make a cuppa and sit here with it for a bit longer then see how i feel. I have till after 4 to get something else done and no use killing myself in the process is there.

I forgot to mention, my wonderful little brother gave me the most perfect gift for my birthday! A £30 gift voucher for the nail and beuty place I have occasionally managed to go to! Yeah! Need to find out when DH is off next week and go get prettyfied.

I have folded and sorted the laundry and gathered all the dirty stuff. That's it really. Woke up really groggy today but was really tired yesterday, think I spent too long in the sun yesterday (it was sunny and about 8'c so not like mega summer time) and I still have one very swollen gland in my throat.

Got to finish hemming DH work trousers. If I don't he will be upset and disapointed. just got to check eBay first....
