Well done dinx -whoever does the most ironing has to do mine so you've won that accolade this week:rotfl: .
Dusty - the walk took 3 hours to do the 10 miles, we were really going for it and that could be why i'm feeling. As soon as DD comes in from brownies i'm going to bed!!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz0 -
Dusty - is the beavers sweatshirt turquoise? What size do you need? DS gave beavers up because the woman running it was a liability. If you need the same size it's yours xx0

dinx well done you - Our wardrobes would be empty if I had 5 baskets of ironing.
Rant/? to follow
Given myself a headache by shouting at DS1. I have been a fool to myself over the years and done too much for my kids making them lazy, unhelpful and unappreciative. Not really sure what to do about it. They all watch too much tv. Trouble is we have cable as no aerial and I don't know how to bar most of channel, they watch rubbish american comedies and heaps of repeats of top gear etc. I am always going in and turning it off. Please give me advise as to how to make them cutback - do I go for tv free days? Cut the cable channel?s I've tried limiting the time before but find they obviously don't turn it off through choice so I am permanently monitoring it; one will say I've not been in here the whole time it was on or he choose that show. When I turn it off there is always a fight between them. I hardly ever watch it and neither does DH so I really feel like ditching it.

Right next taxi service of the day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Another busy day - I think I do much much better when the sun is shining!
Master bedroom done, vacuumed all downstairs and up the stairs, washed boys' bedlinen, washed down outside and inside both greenhouses, supervised DS1's coursework, and two hours on the allotment. Phew!!
I still haven't heard anything from DD, so I'm assuming her phone isn't working for some reason. OH topped it up again this morning just in case, but nothing. I'm now relying on the thought that if anything were really wrong, then someone would have phoned us. I now jump about three feet if the phone rings... Good job she's back late tomorrow evening, I don't think my nerves can take any more!!
Love the house pictures, but aren't the prices reasonable! We're thinking of moving, but have put plans on hold for a while, partly because I had enough stress ove the last six months, and partly because of the wobbles in the housing market. We're going to concentrate on getting our house up to scratch, doing all the decorating and DIY bits that will make it easier to sell when we're ready. I'm quite tempted to selfbuild - although this time OH won't be doing the work for a couple of years, we'll just project manage! If I can find a nice large plot of land, mmm...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Dustykitten mine were - that's why I had to iron:rotfl: .:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

Dusty - mine are allowed half an hour of electronics a day so that can be tv, playstation, computer or whatever. Consequently they rarely choose the tv as an option because they'd rather do one of the other things. During the easter holiday we let them have a lot more as they were stuck in a caravan when the weather was awful and the more they had on the nintendo ds's the more appalling they got, really sullen and grumpy. Could you take the fuse out of the tv and say it's broken or am I the only one who'd be that mean?
Edited to add - they are allowed their cd players on for longer as they both love talking books and I don't mind that as much as tv xx0
