Hi to all
Well Hester - your ex does seem to be "taking the michael" a bit on that one. There is rather a quantum leap difference between someone getting a few £ "on the side" to help them actually eat and someone buying 3 homes at once like this like your ex is doing. I can understand the personal frustration on that one.
On another front - the menopausal "feelings" - no panic attacks in my case - but there was a spell of "low" feelings that I felt were rather stronger and more prolonged than were warranted by external events. Still occasionally get bits and pieces of that - but not the unrelenting "gloom" that went on for some while.0 -
It seems my Ex Oh is 'not a priority' they contacted his accountant who assured them that he had a very bitter ex wife who had reported him out of spite. I will ring again on Monday, but I expect I am wasting my time

Hi everyone,
Happy Birthday Suesy Sue!!
Get well soon RedRuby.
Hope your day has improved Gin.
I've had a busy weekend shopping, cleaning and cooking. I've been inspired by how many of you make your own bread so I decided I'd have a go. OH likes making bread but hasn't done it for ages and his life seems to get busier every week. I'm giving it a try baking by hand before looking at breadmakers. The first attempt didn't work though - well it would have but I took it out of the oven too early. I got the crusts plus two slices and had to throw the rest away. The 2nd attempt is a wholemeal loaf, recipe courtesy of Delia. Its in the oven now so I hope it works out better.
Feeling quite tired now so I'm going to crash in front of the tele.

Evening all,
Thank you all so much for my birthday wishes.Today as been a bit non OS day, burger king for lunch cause I couldn't be bothered cooking!
But we did have h/m bread and dippy eggs for dinner so that was OS! Haven't done much today, just chilling out feeling old! Will do the roast dinner tomorrow, along with the ironing and I need to make a cake and some of Aussies Anzacs. Second time lucky I hope!
Hugs to Smoky, Benthosboy and Gin, and anyone else who would like one.
Take care all, have a good evening.

I'd ring them again and tell them that his accountant is paid extra 'to be creative' and needs checking out as well!
When I left my ex-OH my kids were still living with him. He had never had a proper job when we were together but ALWAYS 'worked on the side' AND he continued to do so after I left. He ran up rent arrears by not paying any rent at all - knowing that I'd been told to keep my name on the rent book by my solicitor.
When I got my job and a flat to go with it from the local authority, they said I needed to take my name off the old rent book and sort out the arrears. I owed £200 for half HIS rent arrears after leaving him (1990). Then the Child Support Agency chased after me based on what he was getting in benefits. Silly man had sent me a note handwritten on one of his printed invoices (that stated what jobs he would do and price quotations) - what a gift!!! Straight to the Social Security it went - Child Support halved what they wanted from me and he had to pay back what they reckoned he owed them. Then my kids came to live with me one by one (aged 14 - 16) - but the beggar still kept the child benefit book!0 -
You can imagine how I feel, I fretted about reporting him as I knew I would suffer if he found out, but to go through all that & then for the Fraud hotline to be disinterested. Still no one ever said life was fair.

Hester, no doubt as soon as ex-OH got his accountant involved, they dropped him.
It's far easier to get back pennies off people who can't afford to pay an advisor than have to argue and go through loads of paperwork with a paid 'professional'
Hopefully he will eventually drop himself in it,Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Grrrr... don't know what to say about your ex, Hester! Life is not fair, that's for sure, especially to people who aim to live their lives honestly. I hope you believe in divine justice, or karma, or SOMETHING, because I do (the former) and I don't think people get away with things in the long term.
Well, I've made 2 lemon drizzle cakes (same quantities as usual, just in 2 smaller tins) and a lovely batch of macaroni cheese which is currently browning off under the grill. Got a pan of broccoli on the stove to be eaten with a portion of it (Aldi 49p of course)
Yum...Operation Get in Shape
