    Afternoon OS'ers.

    Lovely and sunny here.

    Hugs to Gin and Redruby.
PenPin, I hope you feel a bit better also.

I bought some reduced Sirloin Steak at M&S yesterday, £5 instead of £10.46, so that will be for tea, somehow I doubt that it will taste like £10 worth of steak, but I'll do the taste test.
I'm going to pop to Asda soon to get some dried fruit to make a couple of fruitcake loafs, and I'll have a look for a ham hock, I'm feeling inspired to do a pea and ham soup after reading a thread yesterday.

    Hugs to all :grouphug:

Thanks for the replies re the panicky feeling. I really appreciate it. Will keep an eye on things and speak to my GP if I feel it is a problem. Thanks for the info too.

Won a Lush bath bomb today on the comps board so another freebie to put in a hamper for Christmas. :j

Waiting to hear about DNephew's wife who is due to give birth any day now. Hoping everything goes well as she lost twins early in her pregnancy last year.

Off to do some ironing now (must be THE most horrible job surely) and then some cooking.

    Afternoon everyone.

Well, the spring clean bug well and truly bit today, so I have been trying to clean as much as I can - and boy, does the house need a clean!

Anyway, thought I would pop in whilst I sipped on a chamomile tea - have recently started drinking it as I was quite tense, and although it's not my favourite drink, I'm getting used to the taste.

Dinner's cooking - roast chicken, so I'm going to have a few minutes on here before the mammoth kitchen cleaning task begins.

Hope everyone's well and enjoying their day.

    Hiya :hello:

Big hugs to those feeling low, ill or having a bad day.

Ok, so where did the weekend go? I blinked and missed it! ;)
Yesterday was spent at MIL's doing jobs and shopping for her, including my own shopping(49p for 3 courgettes in Aldi:D ).
This morning we went to church and this afternoon has been spent stripping beds, getting the tea ready, chopping up veg for the freezer, writing lists and meal plans, making packed lunches etc. Tonight's tea will be a proper sunday roast (for a change) of half a leg of lamb, roast potatoes/parsnips, broccoli, cauli and yorkshire pud followed by donoughts for the kids. I'm going to boil up the bone to make stock and put the rest of the meat and some veg in the sc along with the stock for a lamb stew for tomorrow's tea.
I've got a pile of ironing to do so that's a job for after tea.
    Have a good evening.:D

    Hi All

Candygirl, your post made me laugh, years ago I worked for a firm that put up farm buildings, the first few times I got a phone call saying 'It's Mr Smith here I was expecting an erection last week' I dissolved into hysterics, but I did get used to it eventually.

I've had some news that has left me gutted, it seems my ExOh, who is claiming benefit is in the process of buying not 1 but 3 properties in the Caribbean, 1 to live in & 2 to let out to provide his income & here's me worrying about how I'm going to pay to have my exhaust on my car repaired!

    Have a good evening.
    Hugs Hester

    Afternoon :hello:

This weekend has been much more hectic than I generally prefer my weekends to be

But amazingly, I have finished the week on budget. Sort of. If you count the £3.80 I spent this afternoon on rail fares to get me to and from my singing lesson (before realising that I actually only needed to spend £2.90 ) as being out of my "ad hoc travel" budget rather than my weekly spends. (Normally I go there and back on the bus, which is effectively free as I buy an annual bus pass, but was coming from the other side of London after church, and it being Marathon day I didn't trust the buses.)

I had two colleagues running the Marathon. I hope they both did OK. One was running in aid of SANDS in memory of his baby son who died at birth, the other was running in aid of Refuge having used their services while escaping a violent relationship.

My ear and jaw are aching thanks to getting another flare-up of otitis externa. To be honest I really can't be bothered to go to the doc for ear drops - it should go away on its own.

I fancy doing some cooking tonight for the freezer :)

    Hugs if you need them

    Love Rzl xx

Hester, ring this number now and report him 0800 854 440. Why should you have to scrimp and save and he live the life of Riley. It would be a very satisfying feeling for you also, I am sure.
