    Morning everyone :hello:
I'm not going to do much today as yesterday was quite busy. Thought I had finished all my washing yesterday until I went into DD2's room. Clothes hidden under her desk and to top it all off she'd hidden 2 packed lunches in there as well

Anyone want to adopt a 10 yo?????

So after doing another 2 loads of washing and helping DH fix on new skirting boards in our room, we started to make the frame for my lean to greenhouse out of the scrap wood we took out of our room. (See, I'm being very good and reusing ;) )
First part of the frame is made so we will continue with the rest later today.I'm going out with Mum today, she blew up her microwave the other day, goodness knows how, so we're off to town to get a new one from Mr T's and do some groceries while we are there.

Dinner tonight is steak from the freezer, potatoes and veggies. We will finish off the botle of wine we opened last night as well.

Gin - it will all work itself out, don't worry x
smokybabes - how are you today?
Benthosboy - I'm glad you're ok today, keep smiling!

Hugs to anyone else who is in need

    See you all later.

    Hi everyone,

it`s very cold outside today so i think i`ll wear a nice thick jumper when i set off for w**k later.
DH has gone fishing and will be back tomorrow and both houndies are asleep so it`s very peaceful here at the moment, ideal opportunity to get some hw done but i`m not really in the mood so it will probably wait.

((((hugs)))) for Smoky and also to Gin - hope everything sorts itself out ok for you.

The little houndies leg is really poorly and he has only had a short walk today, DH took the big houndie out for another walk afterwards to tire her out.
I`ve started massaging the little old houndies leg too which seems to help and he`s on vitamins with glucosamine and chondroitin too, the last couple of days he`s also been taking some rymadil which i hate having to give him but if he needs it then so be it. He`s not a complaining mardy sort of doggy and just wants a cuddle, i`ll hate going to work and leaving him later but my sis will be popping up later to let them both out etc.
Phones ringing now so i`m off
    catch up later
    SD
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Afternoon all

Arkonite-babe - I'll do you a swap. dd(11) is taking it out on me because her dad hasnt called since last week. On the way back form our holiday she was moaning cos it's a Mummy weekend and is now sobbing on the sofa in an annoying rather than heart wrenching way. i have texted him and called him to no avail and have a sore tongue from biting it rather than telling her some home truths about her Bl**dy Hero Daddy.

The Town of Many Charity Shops trip yesterday resulted in three cake books, some novels, lots of lovely summer clothes and a hand operated food processor thingy which I haven't tried out yet.

Just waiting for a sunshiney window in the rain before cycling to Mr T for a bit of shopping

Gin - hope things work out - I'm sure they will
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Second load of washing is in the machine and dishwasher has been loaded for the second time this morning.

Still raining so will hang it out later and need to get a loaf from the shop.

Cleaned gas hob and prepared veg for a late lunch.

Having new potatoes, chicken breast (or Salmon steak)with broccoli cheese sauce and stir fried cabbage and onion.

    Hugs to everyone.

Glad yesterday was not as bad as you feared.

Would it help if you tried to think of not having fish, scuba gear etc. as less "losing them" but more as freeing yourself up for a lifestyle change that will be what you want for yourself?

Hugs to all - I need to go and get dressed!

    Hello all !
Having a lazy day after yesterday getting buried beneath heaps of photographs and ending up totally confused !! Still, albums on are on the shelf now out of the way...........sorting them out will be done at a later date.
Spent the morning making a card for someone, quick tidy up of a sort and maybe clear up a bit more later on. I seem to accumulate clutter wherever I go !
OH has promised me a trip to Focus Do it All tomorrow (how exciting is that!) for paint for the kitchen cupboards...............made mental note of all the other painting jobs that need doing............bedroom which one of the boys had who''s now left.......(how he got black marks half way up the wall is beyond me!), stairs need glossing - (walls were done by the other lad and I dont like to look too close otherwise that will be another paint job!)
Kitchen walls could do with a going over as well...........and the paintwork round the windows. Beginning to wish I'd never started looking around
Oh well.................keep OH occupied while his workshops is being re-built............hopefully.............otherwise it will be down to me !

Have a good day and hugs (((((((((:o ))))))))) to all who need them

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

PenPen, I hope your concert went well last night.
Gin, Have an angry smilie for your Oh from me too.
    Happy Birthday Suesy Sue.
    Annie.. Take care. x
Aussie, Pen Pen, Churchie, Pink and Nelski.... I hope you're not implying that you have real lives and don't have time to post on here. :p

I'm still trying to get organised for going away tommorrow but am waiting to finish the ironing when the last load comes off the line. I've finished prepping OH's meals for while we're gone as I can't really expect him to fend for himself as he's working 16 hour days atm. ;)

This morning I've made some jam and pickled onions to take to my Dad and had leftover fruit so there's a pavlova in the oven for pud tonight. No point in doing a roast as we won't be here to eat the leftovers so the girls and I made pasties for tea and I've just done a cauli cheese to go with them. The girls are now in their wendy house in the garden licking the jam pot and the meringue bowls. :o:D

OH is taking them out in a bit for a walk while I sort out the packing.

    See you all later.

    Haribo x

Annibooklover, I get panic attacks too, it does seem to be something to do with the menopause.

I've not posted on the daily thread for absolutely ages - sorry folks - but I have kept peeping in occasionally. Good to see you all again and hope all are keeping well. Are you all still behaving yourselves and sticking to the OS creed - all's fair in love and bargain-hunting! Plus - She who spots the yellow stickers first gets first grab!!

For some strange reason, I was up at 6.50 this morning when my phone alarm clock went off - thought it was a work day and obeyed! OH thinks I'm going doo-lally-tap - I've even got next week off work so shouldn't have got up anyway!!

Amazing how many early risers you find on here on a Sunday morning - I was sat here bleerey-eyed, coffee cup and toast in hand, thinking 'Well at least I'm not the only idiotic money-saver around at this ungodly hour!'

By 8 o'clock I'd peeled potatoes and peeled and chopped carrots and parsnips for lunch. Then I decided to sort out the sprouting onions that have been sitting there for about 4 weeks. I peeled, chopped and froze them for future use. At that point OH got up and moaned about the smell of onions permeating upstairs :(. Now I've got a turkey drumstick in the oven for lunch - gently roasting away and smells delicious.

Was going to do some baking but got hardly any margarine or milk left till tomorrow - so will have to tackle some decluttering instead to keep me occupied. Think I'll blast some music while I'm doing it :D.

I have a progesterone deficiency. It took me a while to figure out that the anxiety etc that I was experiencing was maybe more than normal for the mother of a small child. It also turned me into a hormonal mess when I was trying to get pregnant as I had to stop medication (and have fertility treatment). That is why ds will be an only child.

I was just reading that during the menopause your progesterone levels plummet whilst the oestrogen levels drop more slowly and stabilise at lower than normal.

Ds doesn't start school for another 17 months and I have his school holiday care (on the rare occasions that he will need some) sorted already. Panic, me, never!
