  • hi all! It's beautiful here this morning (so far) but I'm not fooled -I've been outside to feed the birds and it's freezing.

Didn't get online much yesterday so couldn't send hugs to PP's OH, I was so sorry to hear of your news. Hugs to everyone else including Smokey, Martyn and all those in need.

We're off to MIL's today which is a 200 mile round trip, it was her birthday on Tuesday so we're treating her and FIL to lunch. I'm hoping to sweet talk OH into popping into the outlet village which is on our way - I went there on Weds with my DSis - bought one little tea plate to complete my dinner service and then on Thursday the handle dropped off one of the cups!!:rotfl:

Not much time for anything OS today so good luck to all those slogging round London in the marathon and love and hugs to everyone else.

    Morning all.
Well we have a footy match today but i am wating for a phone call from ds1 footy manager as we dont know if we are playing at home (just up the road) or a Buxton, i know which one i want it to be!!!!
Had a lovely day yesterday got lots of jobs done, dh spent a few hours tidying garden, and had friends round too.
Then spent the evening watching dr who and britians got talent, I havent laughed so much for ages.

Rhysmum-Your posted reminded me of my late Great Gran, we always made her birthdays special dispite some family agruments, for her last birthday i finally managed to get the photo she had always wanted the 5 generation picture, my dd was the 5th member of the 5th generation, my Great gran was very proud of the fact that she had 5 great great grandchildren.

    Have a great day everyone

    morning all.

well, the day has got off to a very bad start. mr gin was arrested last night while out drinking with his mates. honestly, what 38 year old is still getting into fights? i want to kill him. just rung the police station who say he wont even be questioned til this afternoon.

original plan was he would have the children while i did lots of housework, but that's out the window. so no idea what we will be doing. was organic roast pork and all the trimmings for dinner today, but seeing as i dont eat meat and the children will be quite happy with something else, that may be off the menu.

i want to cry - this police thing is a whole new experience for me.
  • Oh Gin (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) how horrible for you :( I'm not surprised you want to kill him, and under that there are probably all sorts of other feelings...

I can't be hugely helpful - although my little brother (23) went through something similar a couple of months ago (phoning me just before he went into the police station & saying "don't tell mum"). There is nothing you can do (except worry) during today - you have to let him take the consequences (I don't mean that in a bad way) and hope that it will come to nothing in the end.... My brother was lucky that was the case, although he had to wait best part of 2 months before that became apparent, but he did learn from it... It really shook him up, especially as he as a 1 year old son - he has learnt to walk away & count to 10 a bit more since...

Forget the housework if you can't do it with the kids around - can you all get out for a walk somewhere instead?? Might prove to be a bit of a distraction for you? More (((hugs)))) - I hope it works out ok.

dlb - good luck with the football!!!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUESY SUE

:hello: mrs mix :hello: Taplady :hello: Ivyleaf :hello: Churchmouse

:grouphug: and :hello: to everyone xxx

Well, im all on my own today (or i will be in about an hour) as my 2 are out with their dad. I hate it when they go with him (lots of reasons, some not good) and i already have that knotty, sick feeling in my tummy - will be glad when they are back home later. Hes having them today because its DDs birthday in a couple of weeks, and its the only time he can have them, will be interesting to see what he gets her, because he always treats DS better than her. Never mind, its his mistake as they both see what happens.

So, not sure what i will be doing, not a lot i expect - think i will settle down with a nice DVD, will either be Pride and Prejudice (jealous Shez!!!) or a film with numbers not letters after it (cos i can!!!).

Oh - still no tractor Shez!!!

OK, off to dry my hair - hope everyone has a lovely day.
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good Morning All

    Many Happy Returns Susey Sue
(((Gin))) hope it sorts out ok.
    (((Smokey)))

Have been up for a while but did have a lie in, decided on the spur of the moment to go for a drive last night and we ended up in London, had coffee in Holborn and saw some sights - kids loved it - didnt get in till late so everyone else still in bed.

Just about to empty dw and reload immediately, wipe kitchen down and put some washing on, lovely day here at the moment.

Roast pork today but not sure if we are having it at lunchtime or tonight. May either go to local cinema later or if it stays nice head down the beach.

Had a good day yesterday, chicken stock and choc chip muffins made, think OH wants me to make some cherry muffins today. Also will need to do some paperwork as we are going out for the day tomorrow.

So not exactly a lazy sunday here but still is nice, have a great day.

    Hugs to Smokey
Welcome to Rhysdad, I think I forgot yesterday.
Hugs to Gin, hope it all gets resolved.
My youngest DS did something stupid last weekend, no police involved, but he pranged his car big time, I'm hoping he has learnt a lesson. I'm not supposed to know, lol.
Another lazy day here, DW finished & emptied & WM finished & clothes on the line, I'm going to do my roots in a minute & then hubby & I are going to treat ourselves to a pub lunch.
We had a very disturbed night last night, the home phone kept ringing from about 1 til 4, all calls for Katy, no one can reach her on her mobile as it's been cut off. The last caller got me screaming 'Do you realise it's the middle of the night here & you are the 6th person to phone me'
I've emailed Katy to tell her to get the situation sorted out & buy her bloody family & friends a clock on UK time.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester
