i think that Martin thinks he is living in 1960's or earlier (no offence)
gone are those days, never to return, i think, unless Mr Blair works some sort of miracle with his new intentions and ideas.
there is no compromising with a teenager unless its on their terms, in which case i dont call it compromise, more like giving in.
'flicking the switch' causes hell let loose, you ought to see a teenager throwing a tantrum. definitely not same as toddlers tantrums. more like a seance gone wrong with all household items flying around the place.
tend to avoid such tactics as have used in past.
now resorted to being subtle.
just make an excuse to get up from comp. even when i'm in middle of something when i realise she's intending to use it, before she actually says anything. try not to make it obvious that i've got up because of her. otherwise we would end up arguing, in which case she always wins, as she has a quick mind and i am lost for answers.
am willing to sacrifice some of my time on mse as long as i have peace in house.
in fact i dont think i have any choice, its either that or a battlefield.Nice to save.0 -
My daughters not tooo bad really, when she was pushing the boundaries, and stating " this was her house etc" i said ok. lets live under the same roof seperately.... Great she says.... then its "wheres my washing i need this top".... "Uh!" says i and carries on with what im doing.... so she decides shes going to wash it herself... NOT in my washing machine, says i.... I dont care, ill do it in the sink, she replies..... NOT with my water, washing powder etc.... i snapped..... "Hurumph, she says, well how am i supposed to do it then"... i said i will sell you some water and washing powder.... so i did (only 20p each),..... she washed out stuff in sink, and went to put it ON MY LINE.... nopey dopey says i.... 20p plz.....
anyways, a few hours later she decalred she didnt like living like that and could we be friends again ...... AWwwwwwwwwwww shame...... bless her..... even wanted her 60p back!.....

How does that work then?
Does it cost twicew as much?I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0
