If you do get her a cheap laptop etc - make sure she knows the idea and laptop comes from you!

Do not tell her what you paid and just say that MSE has given you some good sites - do not let her know your username!

If she still gives you trouble after that - she deserves everything she gets.

It is all very well to "fool" Dad , but she will be left with no respect for him in the end and when she finally has her own life she will have driven a wedge between you. Get some quality time as a couple.

thanks, i agree with you totally, however, it think that it is unfortunately getting to that stage.
my OH does not seem to realise this, but i can see it.
just hope that i can somehow put a stop to this or reverse it.
    Nice to save.

Does she pay for all the music she downloads? If not, I guess she knows that she can be sued by the music companies.

If she does pay, then guess I had better go shhh...

I'm sure there was a mother who was fined £2,000 + because her daughter had over a thousand illegal music downloads on the family pc - eta here's the story http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/gloucestershire/4166784.stm Maybe you should point this out to the OH when he starts taking sides.

what i say to my 10 yr old... i gave birth to you so i have the right to say no..
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.
