threatening to sue mse!!!!!!

my teenage daughter is threateneing to sue mse .
just had a big argument again!
she wanted to continue with her music downloads (yet more), i wanted to visit mse.
threatens to sue mse for addicting me to the site.
this is a regular occurence in our house.
trouble is sweet little innocent (when it comes to dad) manages to get DAD on her side as well, then they both have a go at me.
with me shes completely opposite, especially when hes not around.
i'm always the baddie, having a go at her.
feel like pulling my hair out- trouble is only i will suffer!!!!!!!!!
two against one - i alway lose out.
Nice to save.

You are the person who does the cooking, cleaning and laundry, tidying up, ironing and shopping and generally making the place a home - so you desrve some indulgence.

Besides - you are doing research and saving money and time while making your home a pleasant place to be - how do music downloads contribute to that?

  • You are the mum and she the daughter you'll always be the bad one!
I know cos i was that horrible daughter, but then my mother was just as bad!

Let it roll off you and opt for scarcasm, that will shock her, tell her to go on and sue, tell her any solicitor would gladly take her case on. (make sure you use an appropiate ammount of sarcasm) When she realises she cant get to you she'll give up!

    Good luck!

she kept you in family credit for 16 years so give her a break..

or you could always ask her what songs she wants downloading and do it for her while you're on here.

hiya, s gypsy, i cannot stand that loud music with its 'language'. which i would choose not to describe. she has to listen to it and sing along as it downloads and her choice of music is veeeeeeeeeeeery different to mine.....
gk712, hiya, i've tried the pc not working
    unfortunately it doiesnt work!
she is sooooo big and comes and sits in my lap, or more like ontop of me and says she will sort it out.
think i will have to resort to jamptons advice and look for a new pc.
    Nice to save.

How old is she? You say teenage? Shouldnt she be sleeping at 11.45pm anyways?

Do you carry on letting her music download whilst your on here?

I wouldnt put up with her being all sweet to dad but rude to you, thats unacceptable. Get dad to talk to her about it, esp if its getting you down.

I think the idea of a cheap second pc is a good idea, have a look on ebay. I got a second hand laptop for about £60 on ebay :) It isnt very fast or very good, but it does the job!!

If you do get her a cheap laptop etc - make sure she knows the idea and laptop comes from you!

Do not tell her what you paid and just say that MSE has given you some good sites - do not let her know your username!

If she still gives you trouble after that - she deserves everything she gets.

It is all very well to "fool" Dad , but she will be left with no respect for him in the end and when she finally has her own life she will have driven a wedge between you. Get some quality time as a couple.
