Toaster would only take 1 piece at a time anyway (it's small) so I'd have to do each half and the filling separately... which might not be the best of plans.

My lot love apple sandwiches toasted or untoasted.Thickly slice a nice sweet apple,sprinkle with a touch of caster sugar and cook.A nice cheap snack but do watch the filling a it gets really hot !!!0 -
Can anyone give me a list of appealing recipes for toasted sandwiches. Just thrown out breville maker and got some toastie bags and am looking for something other than cheese and cheese with onion. Any recipes welcome. thanks.,0

I'm a bit boring I'm afraid, cheese, onion, tomato and lots of mustard is my favourite although bacon and brie is good too.
There's an earlier thread with lots of toasted sandwich filling ideas that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.
